In no particular order:

1. Bonuses
2. Free all I can eat/drink snacks and pop everyday
3. A cafeteria that has it's own chef's and it's really cheap for all you can eat (I have a 1/2 rack of ribs everyday!)
4. I get treated like a professional - meaning if I need to work from home I can, if I need to leave early or come in late I can as long as my work is getting done.
4. We usually are given some free PTO days after a really busy stretch, so i can take PTO but it doesn't come out of my earned PTO balance.
5. Lots of cool people I get to work with
6. We have a flag football league every fall
7. I don't get in trouble for being on CF while at work
8. A game room where I can take a break to play pool

I'll probably think of more but I need to go refill my Dr. Pepper now.

Nice! Job openings?

I got free Iowa state tickets on the 50 yd line for the Baylor game. Other than the outcome of the game it was awesome.

Have gotten free tix to a lot of events, most notably suite tickets to the Big 12 Championship game this year. If I were a NASCAR fan, I could go to any race in KC I want.

We get a ton of vendor goods throughout the year (food mostly). It is a nice perk, but it gets abused by my co-workers.

My favorite perk is our ability to roll unused vacation over or have it paid out if needed.

As someone who is always scrambling at the end of the year to use up his vacation time, I would LOVE the option of having it just paid out to me.

I want to work with whoever you work with.

Pros:
-We have a lot of independence, nobody is looking over your shoulder all day.
-I normally work less than 40 hours per week. As long as you get your work done and are generally available for most of the normal business hours, nobody cares when you come and go. During slow times I have plenty of time to spend on CF.
-Once I leave the office I don't have to think about work until I get in the next morning. No taking work home with me.
-Four weeks of vacation straight out of college, 401k match, decent health insurance plan.

Cons:
-Have to work weekends a few times a year. We get comp-time to make up for it, so it's not too bad.
-Below average salary for our field. I'd like to make more, but I'd hate to give up the flexibility and the hours I have right now.

The small team I am on has done a lot of work over the past year or so to make our jobs easier/more efficient, so that is part of why things are pretty good for us. There are some jobs in my department that require far too many hours/too much stress for what we get paid.

I get free tickets sometimes. College football games, minor league baseball games, fair tickets etc.

Tuition remission for my kids when they are ready for college. They can attend any catholic college in Iowa along with many other private college in the state and surrounding area. There are other nice perks (flexible hours and summers off), but the free tuition is definitely the best!

Nothing really glamorous here. Just a standard 4% 401k match. And a little 'bonus' for not taking health insurance through the company (on my wife's which is being blown up by ACA but that's a topic for the cave). Free coffee. That's a perk right?

I suppose there can be more if you negotiate it into your contract. Big push for me next contract time will be for a company car since work is moving 40 miles up the road.

Rochester to Austin or Austin to Rochester?

I get $185 a day in meal per diem, lol. I don't ever use that much but it's there. Nothing under $35 requires a receipt for expense so....you get the picture. Aside from the normal health and 401k benefits I get a pretty sweet comp car, 5 weeks paid vacation a year and I can stay at any hotel for under $230 night while traveling. I work probably 20 hours a week and 90% of that is travel. I make great money. Best Job I've had in my 16 years in medical/pharma sales. I just need to maintain it for another 6-7 years and then I can not worry about retirment.

I get to get my son a job, either directly or through the good 'ol boy network that is very much in place. I get to work out, wear sweat pants, and watch a bunch of sports videos at work all day long. I get paid trips and vacations and expense everything out....thanks for the surf and turf boss! I get great help care and the state ipers on top of all that. I really only get evaluated about 12 days a year.....and even if I pass my evaluation only 2 or 3 times that year, I still get a raise!!! It is awesome!....oh, nevermind, I thought the thread was "what would be the biggest perks of your job be if you were a college football coach." my bad.
