The bleeding must stop. Rhoads must go. I am in the camp that a change is made at the end of the season however...

6 wins and a bowl game win. And based on how they gave away the game on Saturday I'm confident that there is no way that will happen. Hope I'm wrong.

I've seen enough. The way I see it is the is the end season of his career here. It's due. We lose a few good players this year to graduations, including our starting QB.

Bring in a new staff for the new year with a new offense for the new QB.

I said bowl or bust at the beginning of the year. I don't feel that's asking too much in year 7

Especially in an era where you can be something like the 60th best team in the country (or a little worse) and still slip into a bowl game.

Funny thing is that the B12 has plenty of teams that an average team has a chance against, and so far it looks like average is a really far reach.

1) Personally refund all football ticket purchases made in 2013, 2014 and 2015
2) Demote himself to a position coach on defense
3) Shred his 2020 contract live on social media to attract recruits' attention to the beginning of a new era in Ames

If the above criteria are satisfied I am okay with him sticking around.

It depends on how the games are won or lost, but in general I'd like to see 5 wins, but probably wouldn't scream for his head with 4 if we continue to see the kind of competitive ball we've seen so far. I think we've looked like a better team this year. Keep playing like this and I think 3-5 more wins are very possible.

I think he somehow will get 4 conference wins. Not sure how or what will go down for that to happen, but it seems like something he will make happen. If that is the case, they can say see we are improving and he will be kept on as head coach.

A bowl game is still the only way he stays, needs 5 more wins. Beat Kansas badly, and look like a competent head coach in doing so. Beat TT on the road, and again resemble a competent coach. Keep the TCU, Baylor, and Oklahoma games within 3 touchdowns. Beat Texas at home convincingly. Beat Kansas State on the road. That leaves one of OSU or WV.

Start taking chances like his job depends on it, because it does. Throw the ball downfield to your massive WR's. Make one in-game adjustment that improves the teams chances of winning. Stop making excuses for things that are the fault of the coaching staff. Force coordinators to put your players in the proper position to succeed on a consistent basis.

None of this matters, because cheerleaders make ****** head coaches. He can be as proud as he wants, really hope he is proud of the current state of the program. Hire an ******* who can recruit and develop.

Unrealistic at this point, but 7-6 with a bowl win would get me there. Six additional wins requires beating at least 4 teams with a pulse, possibly a couple of them top 25 teams. And it'd be a 5-4 Big 12 mark. It would (temporarily) restore my patience/hope.

However — I think I stated this in another thread — to me, it’s getting to a point when what’s necessary for Rhoads to show he can rebuild the momentum almost requires results that are unrealistic to attain in the short-term (such as the scenario above).

Suppose 2015 is another 5-win or worse season. That follows a 5-19 stretch that came after fizzling at the end of what probably should’ve been at least an 8-win season.

To make up ground, we almost need to see 9-4 in 2016, which he hasn’t sniffed for the most part — and then another winning season, at minimum. But if '17 ends up 6-7 or lower, you start thinking it’ll be 7 years between .500 years, perpetually.

Win 6 games.

Hey, hey! Other than agreeing on the fact that the Cyclones and STLCardinals rule, Bode and I actually agree on something else.

Win out including a bowl win.

10-2 with a bowl win would instantly make him the greatest (or luckiest?) ISU FB coach ever.

What sucks is that normally by year 7 I would expect bowl WINS. But with the start to this season coupled with the way that bowl matchups don't always pan out the way you think they would based on record/SOS...I actually wouldn't expect a bowl win this year for CPR to keep his job. Just get there. 6-7 sucks because you end on a loss, but going 6-6 and getting to a bowl would be an incredible feat considering a 1-2 start. He can coach in 2016 getting 6 wins in my book. 5 or less and he has to go, no more excuses.
