What game do you want most this year and why?

K-State. Too many close should had if we would had games. Plus it's Farmageddon

Kansas State. We've found so many ways to lose to them, we have to be due.

Obviously Oklahoma would be amazing, but part of me doesn't want to spoil the Big 12's chance for a playoff team. We desperately need credibility as a conference, and OU is probably the only shot at a national champion.

I agree with KSU and would take win over someone like Tech too. I can't support the spot about Oklahoma. Who cares about the Big 12 in the playoffs if ISU can beat OU?

For wins...hmmm...I think having a .500 or something close in conference play, and any losses being respectable would be great. The Big 12 isn't that scary if a team is well coached and the right players' strengths are favored.

I agree with Jeff woody. The Iowa game would be huge not because of the team but when the victory would come and being on the road. We could have a road win against a solid team that would likely start our season 3-1 going into the heart of the big 12 schedule. If that happens I think the momentum will lead us to at least 6 wins. For that matter it could be TCU...

If you don't say Iowa, you're wrong. **** Iowa.

I disagree. It's 1 game, it' a non-conference game, and it means nothing win or lose. We have so much more at stake (obvious from this thread) but beating them registers next to zero on the national scale. We need to win the "gimmes" (UNI for instance) then conference games to attract recruits. An early season in-state rivalry game does nothing for us nationally and we seem to want to be a national program or at least relevant in our conference.

You only say that because of your current geographical location. For cyclone fans in Iowa, as has been said, no single victory raises their quality of life more than a football win over Iowa.

I have to disagree. Does it mean everything? Is it our Superbowl? No on both counts, but it does mean something. Every win means something. They're all counted when trying to become bowl eligible. We need to win games to get to a bowl game. That will attract more recruits than a single victory over another team. To be relevant nationally or within our conference we need bowl wins and those are only attainable with wins.

A win over iowa doesn't raise the quality of life any more for an Iowa State fan than a win over us does for an iowa fan. It's a win that both fan bases want, whether some want to admit it or not. It's bragging rights for a year and hopefully a win closer to a bowl game for the good guys.

The Hak-eyes. Just because they exist.
Then Oklahoma. Because we seldom beat them, and because they still have a former Hak-eye as their coach.
In the same vein: Kansas State. Former Hak-eye coach.
Baylor: Because they are such jerks.

Iowa, duh. No one wants to "hear about it" from Hawk fans.
Man if we could beat Oklahoma that would be up there. We've beaten them once in my lifetime and i was born in 1967. So yeahhhh one of these days, right?

I expect to beat UNI, SJSU, KSU and KU- so I don't feel they would be big wins that provide the team with confidence/momentum to carry over the remainder of the season. Losing to those teams would be kicks to the mid-section.

Baylor is the game I want the most. It gives confidence over the remainder of the season and also will garner some attention by national media and recruits. Plus it will be at Jack Trice and it would be great to get a big home win. It should help keep attendance strong for the remaining home games.

TCU would be my second choice. Many of the same reasons as Baylor- early Big12 game, solid opponent & will get media/recruit attention.

It's tough not to say Iowa because we live and work with Hawk fans, so bragging rights is great. Especially since they are coming off a 12-2 season and have high hope for 2016. But the game is on the road- so not as important to get that win. Keeping it within a touchdown sends a good message to instate recruits.

Got to go with KSU because of the way ISU has fallen apart so many times late in games. Just a demon that needs to be exercised.

Iowa is a very close second. It would be nice to take them down a notch before they start the gravy train run through their schedule.

Based solely on who I want us to beat most and no other reason (ex: time of season we play, messing up Big XII chances of getting into the playoff, etc.), this would be my top 3:

1) Oklahoma - we've been their ***** for eternity

2) K-State - we've been their ***** for almost a decade now

3) Texas - just because I want to make them our ***** and be the ones to get C. Strong the axe

Iowa, mostly because I would really like to be 3-1 after the first four games. Plus, it is always good to be Iowa.
