I guarded Nick Colison in a tournament game and forced him to miss a jumper.

Also, as a career 40% free throw shooter, I hit 4 in a row when I drew a foul on the opposing teams star while setting a screen followed by a technical foul. My coach said that if I made the first two, I could shoot the technical shots. After the first two went in, I got the ball back from the ref as soon as possible and didn't look at my coach to see if he changed his mind.

I had (and maybe still do) the school record for HR and RBI in a season.

Granted, it was a small school, but still...

Also, I singled off of Matt Straight, who played FB for the Clones and had a wicked knuckle-curve.

About halfway through my senior baseball season I was beaned the first 3 times up to the plate by 3 different pitchers. Had my 1st strikeout of the season in the 4th at bat.

In a JV basketball game in Belmond, I fouled out about 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. (Belmond always seemed to have the most biased refs - no matter the sport - in the North Iowa Conference).

I was a lineman, down 13-15 my senior year and opponent had ball on our ten with couple minutes left. They rushed at me four straight times and lost a total of three yards. Then we got the ball back, three plays, three dropped passes. Very anticlimactic.
Also, no ****, I was a state chess champion in jr. high.

Baseball
- 5 strikeouts in an inning (as a pitcher, not hitter)
- Hit a ball on top of an apartment building in Kofu City, Japan. The opposing coach said nobody had ever even hit the building.
- Beat the #1 in the Nation Sarasota Sailors 1-0, facing #1 pick Bobby Seay.

Basketball
- Had 9 threes in a row, then followed it up with a pump fake, drive and dunk.
- Got dunked on by Vince Carter
- Had a dunk attempt blocked BADLY by Daunte Culpepper, it was VERY CLEAN but they still called a foul.

Golf
- Shot 65 at Jester my Senior year, leading our team to the only 18 hole team score under par in school history.

I was the MVP for my high school golf team my senior year. I will have to think about what else I could add, but hey, this is the "Al Bundy" stat section.

I'm not sure how that can happen - wouldn't they stop you at three?!?

I made 3 tackles in my entire 8th grade football career mostly because I wasn't fast enough to get out of the way and the ball carriers tripped over my helpless body. I also cried once.

Thanks - baseball is not my strongest subject!! However with a catcher like that, who needs batters!

As a former catcher, I'm sympathetic, but this shouldn't happen. However, I assume cybsball20 had some wicked stuff, and pitches with a lot of movement can be tricky to catch. Or maybe cybsball crossed him up!

-1st team all conference senior year (unanimous) as a FS in football
-2nd team all conference in basketball senior year
-9 time medalist in state track meets

Favorite story is probably in basketball my junior year. Played Mason City and they were ranked #2 in the state with Jeff Horner. In the 4Q stole the ball from him straight up and took it down court before a nice little drop off to the guy that was trailing for a lay up. Next time down the court, he drove into me and I took the charge. I didn't attempt a single shot from the field that night, but I went 4-4 from the line and held Horner to 11 pts, 6 of which came from the stripe. He was averaging close to 30. We still lost by 3 in the last minute though.

Stripped the ball from a running back in the first half and from a receiver in the fourth quarter (ended a potential game winning drive) to lead the Blackhawk Conference in take aways one week. It was Homecoming my senior year. I think I also scored an offensive touchdown that game, but it was along time ago.

I could have had an unassisted triple play once, but i flipped it to the SS to be safe. Line drive right at me playing 2nd, tagged the guy from first. Probably could have beat the guy on 2nd back to the bag.
