What other conferance could Iowa State compete?

All this talk of the Big 12 the past week has got me thinking what other conference could the cyclones compete in?

I'm not saying that I want to move to a different conference because at the end of the day I do like being in the Big 12. I'm to hear just curious to here everyone's thoughts

I was thinking ether the ACC or the PAC 12

We would make a bowl game every year playing in the SEC East. Four non-conference cupcakes plus Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Missouri. There's two wins between those four every year.

If we can't compete in the B12 this year, we aren't competing in either of those this year. I think the Pac 12 could give the SEC a run for their money this year.

For like the millionth time, the SEC has four OOC games that are always scheduled against cupcakes, and ussually 5-6 of the in conference games are against teams that are really bad. Then of the 3 remaining games 1 or 2 is against a decent team and 1 or two is against an elite team.

Look at Missouri's schedule this season and tell me there wouldn't be six wins for this team.

I put that because I expected a backlash of "If we can't beat UNI we'll get destroyed in the SEC." I guess I got the exact opposite.

I think he is being sarcastic. We wouldn't be a powerhouse but we would certainly have a better record in football if we were in the Big 10 rather than the Big 12. The only reason we make the NCAA tourney this year in basketball would be because the Big 12 is so bad.

Well we lost to UNI and Iowa, so I wouldn't put too much money on it.
