Played in Class A football my entire high school career, played FB/LB as a freshman (JV) then transitioned to quick-guard on offensive and LB/nose-tackle on defensive for my remaining three years of mainly varsity play.

Was varsity basketball for three years; played as a SF/PF combo. Could battle down low (despite my height) but was a danger from deep!

Just to throw it out there, I was a sprinter in track too (100 & 200m) but not that great of a one. My best 100m time was a 11+ second...

Most spectator. Occasionally rewarded with quality minutes as water boy.

Primarily QB at a mediocre 3A school. Played FS and gunner on kick off until I started at QB.

Gunner on kick off was the most fun of them all. Crush someone or get crushed.

Sort of played (caught the injury bug) QB at Juco for a year before I went to ISU.

OT and DT. By the time I was a senior I was strictly OT. Me destroying my ankle first day of lineman camp my senior year blew pretty much any chance of any real playing time my senior year - about the only way I could have hurt my ankle worse is had I broken it.

Started at center for a pretty good 4A team (made semifinals, 10-2 record including playoffs) my senior year, my junior year I split time at center with a man-child (he played center and DT) that got a scholarship at UNI. Graduated with Aaron Greving and Nick Rahfeldt, big-time recruits in the state at the time.

I allegedly threw the shotput my junior and senior year as well. I wresteled during my sophomore year. I had quit trying to play competitive basketball or baseball by junior high.

C/P in baseball (used as an emergency 3B, 1B, and SS in three years of varsity games)

Could run fast if i got into green space and was taller than most. Could never figure out that dumb cover 2 so just stuck to offense.

DT through my freshman year. I quit after that because I didn't have a size advantage against upperclassmen (i.e., I didn't want to get my *** kicked in practice every day), and I sucked pretty bad. I was an awful left fielder through my freshman year, too. The only sport I stuck with was basketball, where I was a PF; I wasn't quick, but was a decent rebounder and shot pretty well, even from the outside.

That dumb cover 2 is a great run defense and I'm guessing most schools are run based that you faced.

I was the "home" (as opposed to home and away) radio voice for football and boys basketball my sophomore-senior years of high school. We didn't have the capabilities to broadcast road games until after I graduated.

Didn't play high school football. But started all 4 years as the varsity PG/SG and all 5 years (For those that don't know.. Iowa rules allowing 8th graders to play up) as the varsity catcher. This was for a 1A school though.
