Okay, I'll bite... 27-3 and I'm chugging the kool-aid. Clearly we'll drop a game or four more than this just because it's NCAA Bball in the BigXII but this is a pretty favorable schedule.

Realistically probably 7 losses and a 6 or 7 seed (cause we get no respect!).

We shouldn't.. but I have a feeling we will drop at least 1 non-con.

Losses: @KU, @OSU, OSU, @BU, @ UT, Random guess at a bad loss: @WVU

23-7

If someone told me this would be our season a month ago...I would have taken it in a heartbeat! 27-3...yeah probably not...but many of us thought we would really have to be biting our nails on Selection Sunday. Long ways to go...but can certainly see us in the tournament at this point...so lets hope this team keeps building! Could be one heckuva fun season!

26-4.

Still split with Kansas and OSU (2 conf losses)
Drop 2 other conf games (possibly @OU and @Baylor)
Undefeated in non-con and win the Hawaii tournament.

24-6. I think we lose @ KU and @ OSU for sure. I get a bad feeling we could lose @ OU and @Baylor for some reason, and vs. KU is a toss up, but I'll tack it as a loss for now. We normally drop a game to an in state rival as well. Although my heart says we should win both this season my brain tells me we lose one there. 24-6 going into the Big 12 tourney. I think we'd get a 3 seed and lose in the championship game putting us at 26-5 and a 5 seed in the tourney.

I agree with this. I expect ISU to drop one to either Iowa, UNI, or in the tournament.

Easier for me to predict losses.

1 loss in non conf in order of this likelihood: Hawaii tourney loss, UNI, Iowa (at home and no looking past it), AU
1@OSU
1@KU
4 other Big 12 losses including one at home and one for not winning the tournament

7 losses

I think we SHOULD win out in the non conf because we'll be favored in every game remaining, but it's hard not to get overconfident. I can't remember when we last played well against UNI.

23-7 is our floor going into the conference tourney. I think we can sweep Baylor, and could beat KU @Hilton, but I don't see us escaping the season without at least on bad road loss. 27-6 seems doable going into selection Sunday.

I now support this synopsis, up from regular season 23 wins and one in B12 tournament.

I'm going to regret saying this, but I think there is a loss to come against UNI @ Des Moines on Saturday. Those tall lanky white boys just seem to have our number, and some on ISU's roster will be looking more ahead to the Iowa game this year than in years past. I could see UNI kicking us while we're not looking. Aside from that though, maybe 1 loss in the holiday tournament, but that should be all for non-con losses.

I said 23 before the season, and I don't see any less than that now. Possibly 25-5, gong into the Big XII tournament.

7 Losses counting one loss in Big XII tourney.

We will probably lose 1 before conference but not going to be UNI. Gap is bigger than most years and it is time to throttle them. I am more concerned about Iowa than I was before their tourney, their depth could be a problem. I am still predicting we win that one but I will have to have a beer before the game.

I'll stay away from the predictions here but it troubles me to see people predicting losses to KU and OSU. Are they good teams? Certainly... but these teams are not unbeatable. If the Clones are on their game they can beat anyone. Anybody watch Kansas this weekend choke against Villanova and nearly choke against UTEP? Anybody see OSU nearly **** a game away against Butler and lose to Memphis? These teams are not invincible. ISU lost in OT twice, lost on a shot at the buzzer, and won once in 4 regular season games against these teams last season.

IMO... ISU has a better all around team this season with similar depth to last year. The difference is the guys Hoiberg is bringing in off the bench this season have more talent with the only exception being Tyrus McGee from last season. Hogue is a huge addition along with Morris and Long. Having another capable threat down low in Hogue has been a huge difference for this team.

Personally... I think Kansas isn't as dangerous of a team this season as they were last season. Last season they were dynamic as a team with Withey the 7 foot shot destroyer, Young the garbage man under the basket, McLemore a sharp shooter, Johnson a sharp shooter, and Releford who was their defensive specialist. They just aren't the same team with the losses they suffered due to graduation and McLemore bailing for the NBA.

Okie Light? Sure they brought back all of their key players but this was a team that ISU split with last season and really should have beat twice (remember... I think ISU is a better overall team this year). Kane might be one of the few PG's in the country that can matchup up favorably with Smart in terms of size and skill. I'll take Niang, Ejim, and Hogue over the Cowboys post players without thinking twice about it.

We are still a very young team, and I expect to get upset in conference and drop a game in Dec.. I could definitely see us dropping a game between now and Hawaii. I'd be pleased to spit Kansas and OSU. And we'll probably lose at least 2 other conference games.
