What the hell happened in the endzone?

that was not a dirty play. Did it deserve a penalty? Nope. Actually, the play was already dead. Good no call.

Why is no one talking about the power forearm arnaud took to the face on that fumble they returned for 6? Thats a dirty play. Just slamming a guy in the face... Not AJ's when your trying to keep a guy out of the end zone.

I was watching the game with a husker fan. I said wow that guy just punched or stiff armed Arnuad in the face. He said no he was going for the ball. So I backed it up and sure enough stiff arm to the face as hard as he could.

How about Arnaud's head getting ripped off when he was bent like a pretzel? Went both ways and I didn't think Klein was doing anything that bad in that spot.

This was much worse. Gomes threw a round house at AA's head. Klein was scrapping and pushing at the goal line. Not a good play on Kleins accord but NU was throwing cheap shots all day and Klein took a couple to the face earlier in the series from a NU lineman

Yeah from what I saw it looked liked he was just grabbing trying to keep him out and when AJ realized what he was doing he let go. I could see him get penalized but anyone calling for a suspension is just trying to stir up trouble.

Another cheap shot that no one is talking about is the shot that Darks took when he was lying on the ground after an incomplete pass. The Nebbie defender dropped a knee right in the middle of his lower back when he was lying on the ground. Ref was standing right there and didn't do a thing about it. Darks got up and was holding has back and had to leave for a couple of plays.

Agree. I was shocked by that. I saw it clearly from section BB, but the ref right there missed it? The first half was full of pushes out of bound, late hits and aggression that would typically be flagged by Nebraska. The refs apparently weren't going to make a call until someone got hurt, and Nebraska sure didn't do much to oppose their dirty play repuatation.

It's a rough game, but there's a limit, and it's the job of the refs to clarify that limit.

AJ did nothing wrong. Burkead ducked his head when he was going into the endzone and ran into AJ's arm which he couldn't pull away fast enough. There was no way AJ could have avoided the collision. Maybe Burkhead should try running straight up into the endzone next time or he could get hurt again.

I saw that too, and wondered WTH? Even if it was a fumble, which it wasn't, how do you get to knee or spear a guy that is already down on the ground?

It appeared to me, during the game, that the Huskers were masters at doing just a little spearing, or just a little leg twisting, whenever they could get away with it. Surprised none of those were called.

Klein

Did anyone see Klein try to break Burkhead's neck in the endzone? I couldn't believe he did that. And then they give Legate a personal foul for trying to get him off Burkhead. That was not something that a football player should do. I would not be surprised if we see a suspension coming.

It looked worse than it was because they showed it in slow motion. If you watch it you can see he lets go. He was just grabbing on to whatever he could to push the pile. I would be extremely surprised if anything comes of it.
