I was just thinking she must mean that as well. I have never seen a more spoiled animal than a show cow. (though I don't know what you pig people do).

Yes...I'm not talking about the kids who show livestock...I've seen too many of them sleeping in the stalls/pens with their critters at countless fairs to think they don't love their animals. I'm also not talking about breeders who breed purebred dogs/cats for pets. I'm talking about the snobs I met on the show dog circuit. I rarely saw the loving bond between animal & owner around there. I attended a number of shows because I considered showing my male Britt...but he and I would never have survived with those people. :)

I'm probably going to be buying an AKC registered black lab puppy here soon, just wanted to know what my fellow Cyclone fans have as pets. I miss having a dog around, I used to have one growing up and after losing her it was pretty hard on me. But, dogs are awesome and I've decided I need a new friend. Feel free to post pics of your pets up!
What the **** is that in your avatar? Is that transvestite a picture of you?

Then there's Milo the computer cuddler

and Molly the poly

Mel is about 8, Cricket is almost five. We lost her brother Garf last March, and her brother Smudgy a year ago. They were my cuddly cats, moreso than Mel & Cricket. We adopted Milo & Molly, brother & sister, 2 months after Garf died. They just turned one, and they're major cuddlers. I'm happy again. :)

This is Izzie our 6 year old female puggle. Not the typical puggle as she does not have a dark muzzle and doesnt have the curly tail- actually I have never seen another puggle like her- definitely a lot more beagle than pug. She is quite the character......

I don't own them but am responsible for the care and well-being of 2,398 pigs right now.

i would like to buy some cows but hey are way too expensive for my taste right now, should have jumped on that train 5 years ago.

The show industry is a joke. The genetics used there are not applicable to anything besides making more show animals. No one wants those genetics in their herd, they want production animals.

Brown tabby named Hazelnut.

When we buy our house, one of the first things we'll do is adopt a Siberian husky.

my brother's husky is probably the best dog I've ever known. So great around people, other animals, tries to adopt kittens, doesn't bark unnecessarily......mostly. We do this thing with our uncle when he leaves - we shout "bye" for as long as we can still hear them yelling back. This dog will start howling with us when we yell, like "these are my people howling, I shall howl with them."

Though he is learning how to lock my brother out of his house. Brother left the dog in the house and when he came back, he was locked out. He knew he had left it open but whatever. He climbed in through the window.

The next time........the door was locked again and he said the window was nearly locked. The latch was moved down, but not quite far enough to block the window. We know he can open doors because it became a party trick we'd show people......it's a bit like when the dinosaurs figure out how to open doors in Jurassic Park. Probably shouldn't have encouraged his learning of that. But yeah, I totally want a husky too.
