I came over when I heard the Jeter rumor, and joined April 11, 2006. Here's my first CF shirt

I fit into that criteria so I'm OK with that as well. As soon as it does not benefit me, Ill throw a fit!
If I remember correctly, that was the date you had to register by to continue to read posts. I guess the board never got locked down though as you don't have to register to read posts.
I read the board from pretty much day one when Jeremy linked it through a post on CR. Registered when I had to in order to keep access.

- following you around the forums.
- sending you text messages at odd hours
- calling your home during dinner
- digging up your garden and ruining the green beans you'd planted.
- secretly switching your regular coffee with Folgers Crystals.
- signing you up for a subscription to Cat Fancy magazine.
- cutting the brake lines on your car.
- replacing all electronic devices in your home with semi functioning replicas.
- the bubble bursting on the housing market.
- the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
- your morning irregularity. (stop sending pictures, btw)
AND
- Albert Pujols signing with the Angels.
Through our limited resources, the mod team has only been able to confirm about a third of those. The rest are just paranoia and senility. Sorry to break it to you, like that.
True story, someone recently signed me up for "Latina" magazine. I'm guessing it had to do with our wedding invites going out and not AlanAldaClone though. So no need to expend resources to uncover the mystery.
I started reading this board in the early days to keep up on the coaching searches. I lurked for quite a while before I finally signed up and started posting. In the years since, I've pretty much forgotten that the rest of the internet even exists.
I noticed the massive amounts of joins on 4-11-06 while looking for myself as well. That was before I was on though, so I dunno. I'm #1754, two months after the site started. That's a lot of members merely by word of mouth in that time.

If you look at the first couple pages of most posts, you'll realize that the key to having the most posts is that you have to live in the cave and argue politics non-stop.
I joined when my roomate came to me with this ridiculous rumor that Gene Chizik was interviewed by Auburn. How stupid.
Man.... I read the Polly pages a little and that is area I don't care too go. I will keep my lower post number and be happy if that's what it takes.
Jeremy kept popping in on other boards and said to check out his site. He spent three years perfecting the operation including negative rep. The betting machine was added a couple years in. Angie might provide some insight. CW became available around 08/09 and Jeremy sold out to some great investors who are posting on this board.
