I think Hogue will get time at both the 3 and 4 once McKay is eligible - depending on matchups and foul trouble.

As much fun as it is to debate who starts and who is a bench player - it doesn't really matter for the 8 guys who will play the most.

If McKay can rebound and play D, his offense will come naturally. Sort of like Hogue. Put-backs and and quick dump off passes to him as he's cutting to the basket. It's not like Hogue is really skilled offensively either.

With Niang & BDJ along with our shooters, guys like Hogue and McKay should pick up a fair amount of high percentage shots near the hoop purely from athleticism and effort.

"So you can’t look too deep into Dustin’s numbers, but when he gets back to playing more three, which will happen when Jameel (McKay) gets eligible"

- Hoiberg

That quote makes it sound like they are already planning on putting BDJ at the 2 and Hogue at the 3 when McKay starts.

doesn't really matter who the starter is they are both going to get a good amount of playing time. but if it was up to me it would be Naz Long. hes good with the ball in his hands and pushes the tempo. Hogue's shot just isn't falling and hes had some wide open looks. Naz spreads the floor a lot more then Hogue. it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Either way, bringing Naz in for Hogue, or Hogue in for Naz, really changes the offensive dynamic and forces the other team to adapt.
