Not exactly sure.
One thing I find increasingly annoying is invitations that are issued through Facebook only. My nieces do this all the time even though they know several of their uncles and grandparents don't have Facebook. They just assume someone will inform the rest of the relatives.

I disagree with you here Carver. I LOVE the facebook only invites to things like class reunions, weddings, receptions and those type of things. I'm not on facebook so I have a great reason to not attend.

BTW, I know I'm a fairly rude person. I figure my interrupting to be the worst (am working on improving over the last 20 years and I still suck at it). I do it mostly on a business level. Personal side not so much. My wife wants me to respond to texts and messages where she is leaving information. I don't feel the need to confirm everything.

Miss Manners would tell you that is NO excuse. Shame on you!

Good point. Although I never seem to need a reason.

Last family birthday party though, my niece kept waiting for my brother before doing cake and presents. Finally she texted him only to find out that none of the rest of us had forwarded on the invite assuming someone else would do it. Not sure why emailing those who are not on Facebook is that much more work. And my own kids hardly ever use Facebook so it's not ideal for them either.

I have to go with interrupting.

Nowadays younger people equate texting with talking and fret if someone doesn't respond within the next 2 minutes or so. If I text someone and they don't respond I don't worry about it unless it is something important but if that is the case I would call.

this reminded me to send an email to someone who hadn't responded to me. So currently, I find that annoying.

But interrupting is worse. There is a coworker here who does that and it's so rude. It hasn't happened to me much because I don't need to talk with them a lot but they do that often to another coworker. To the point that I've heard other coworker twice be like "please let me finish".

The time or two they've started to do that to me I just start talking louder.

and hey, in the time it took to type this, I got a response on my email!

I actively screen telephone calls. I actively choose to ignore texts. I will eventually respond to emails.

If it's important call me and when I don't answer because I won't leave a message with substance - not just "call me".

I'm going to be a GREAT grumpy old man.

This reminds me, I need to change my voice greeting to end with "and get off my lawn"

Possible they never received the email or text.........hard to justify the interrupting part.

Calling me when a text or email would do the trick and do it faster and better and with a documentation trail that everyone can follow is a pet peeve of mine.

One of my pet peeves is people who ask a question in the comparative sense, but then present more than two options for the answer. If you have three options, your question should be in the superlative. An example is this: "Which is most rude??"

I also hate it when people correct grammatical mistakes. Don't they have anything better to do?

What gets me more than any of these is when someone texts me with a question or comment that requires a response, I call them immediately, and they don't answer the phone.

I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation as to why they couldn't answer, but it still bugs me.

Also, it appears Gunner and I should not communicate.

You are my worst enemy. Don't change the mode of communication. If you start the convo you get to pick the mode going forward, but if you are the responder then respond in-kind. Thankfully you don't have my number so you can't call me to respond to this post. :jimlad: :radar:
