This week's win got me thinking, which win was the bigger upset this season's win vs OU or 2011's win against #2 Okie State? There are points to both arguments and I thought I'd get your opinions. Both wins were monumental, but which one was more so and why?

I would like to think 2011 vs OSU because I was there, but the circumstances for this one make it more monumental. Plus, I think this win really turns things around for this program

Part of me wanted to vote for the Okie State game because it helped us reach bowl eligibility. But my vote went to the Oklahoma game. Given our history against them, to go in with a 3rd string qb on the road and beat the #3 team in the nation was huge for our current staff and the momentum of the program and the culture that is being built and sold to recruits.

OSU is a team we can beat. With OU it is never a game we fans believe we have a chance to win. Beating OU is so much better!

OU. About 50-50 in terms of yards, time of possession. No turnovers for ISU, one for OU. Not a huge amount of penalties. Owens looked good kicked field goals, Downing had a couple good punts for minimal returns.

All in all, just one hell of a SOLID, FUNDAMENTAL game.

I think the national implications were bigger in 2011. Taking Okie State out of the BCS Championship bowl with a November loss and setting up that awful SEC showdown championship. But I think ISU implications are bigger with this win vs. OU. It was almost 30 years for crying out loud. This is tough. Either way both Oklahoma schools have a bad taste in their mouth's from ISU

That OSU team was good tho. They would have been in the national championship game if it wasn't for us

It'll be interesting to see how OU season plays out. They have the potential to make it to the playoff

It's an unfair comparison as we know now that the OSU game wasn't the turning point for the program (which was a good deal of my excitement at the time). Both were just huge, and will forever be remembered by all Cyclone fans, but I'm really hoping that we can use the momentum of this to accomplish greater things.

Both kickers missed a field goal, 5 ints, 3 fumbles, a lot of penalties, big return yardages.

True. I guess I would see it more as a fluke if only OSU did it. We made plenty of mistakes in that game too.
