I'm just going to throw this out there. Granted, I never played any higher than the high school level, but not once did I ever get fired up for a game based on what color jersey/helmet/pants/socks/shoes we were wearing? I never thought "Man, I can't wait to go out and play extra hard because I'm wearing a black jersey tonight!"
It's a cutesy little thing for the fans, but if it takes a gold jersey for a player to get fired up for a game, that's a player that I don't really want on my team, because he apparently couldn't care less about the game, team or school.
Just because you don't get fired up about alternate uniforms doesn't mean your opinion is the majority opinion:

I can only hope that there's no video of our team out there like that, because it was embarassing for me to watch grown *** men act like that because of the color of a jersey, and I have no ties to Ohio University at all.
Once again - just because you're embarrassed doesn't make your opinion the majority opinion.
Ok, I'll bite. Just because you found a video of one MAC team excited about it doesn't mean theirs is the majority opinion.
i guess it was KU you guys were talking about when you said white helmets.
