Should we be putting coffee cans at our local gas stations to raise money to buy out CPR? I think a grass roots campaign would send the message. Instead of the March of Dimes we could call it "The last quarter" fund raiser. Then we could have a round up drive and put 1500 pounds of quarters on JP's front porch. With a note that says coin star this and make a move. Just a thought?

Glad to see you are finally moving on from cherry-picking records from random seasons. Maybe there is hope for you. Again, could there be better fits? Sure, but he is better than bringing Rhoads back. BTW, he recruited Florida heavily, and it is all about evaluation. You have to identify good players that local schools do not want.

NO. He is NOT a better option. Schiano is a recipe for disaster. A guy who has absolutely NO CLUE as to what it would take for success at ISU. What happens if Rhoads is given another year and we get 7 wins and a bowl next year? Is that good enough or should he be fired?

Ames High HC is a better option.
What happens if Warren Buffet donates $1 billion to ISU?

Any chance Rhoads negotiates a buy out with Pollard and gets out here on his own terms so he doesn't get fired and maintains some decency of integrity so he can get another asst job?

It HAS to be an offensive minded coach with head coaching experience. ISU has hired coaches with defensive backgrounds and no coaching experience for the last 20 years.

Because Rutgers was brimming with any sort of college football success when Schiano took over. :skeptical:

I'm still baffled how Jim McElwain ends up at Colorado State. That just shows you can get a "big name" coordinator from big program at "small school"

He from Montana, I believe, and he is making 1.5 Million at CSU. Triple your salary as a coordinator, get closer to home, and prove you can handle a bigger job. Really not that hard of a choice.

Did anyone mention Sage Rosenfels? I would take Mangino first, but why not have a former NFL QB as head coach? I am sure Sage could put himself in Richardson's shoes and bring in the missing pieces(Linemen)

If Warren Buffet donated 1 billion to ISU? We'd probably give Rhoads 4 million a year instead of 2 million. And we'd give him a 20 year contract instead of 10.

Fired or not CPR will get another asst job. Despite failing here he's a respected DC and well liked guy. I'm in no way worried about his future in football.

edit... Also what about Chris Ash. I know he's a defensive guy but he would know the challenges here and has climbed the ranks since leaving.
