We did http://www.soft-lite.com windows through midwest seamless siding in Des Moines. Great windows, would do it again.I am needing to replace some windows and live in the Ames area. Does anyone know of a reputable vinyl window installer and/or window company?
How big is the window?whats a decent price for a decent window (not looking for super high end) installation?
That’s tough to say without knowing a lot of info. All of mine are crankouts.whats a decent price for a decent window (not looking for super high end) installation?
Not sure how it would compare to Iowa but in Dallas I got 3 quotes and they all came to about $1000 per window with installation. That's for 31 total windows, 5 of which are 9'x3' and were $1650 installed raising the average. Just standard white vinyl, double pane, double hung...nothing fancy. I personally don't think you get much more bang for your buck with triple pane.whats a decent price for a decent window (not looking for super high end) installation?

Price is not as much of an issue. The real problem is finding a good window installer.whats a decent price for a decent window (not looking for super high end) installation?

Can you provide the name of the window installer.Just had our whole house done.
The advice we got was "installation is key" so we bought mid-range windows instead of the very top end ones and (hopefully) had a top notch installer do them.
Big difference already and very happy with both the interior and exterior look of them.
Who installed your windows?I had decent quality triple pane windows installed for $450 a window in the DSM area. Granted my largest window was 3' x 5'.
