It kind of does. If TJ just found out about this assault thing then yes. If they have been sitting on it, umm no. Then again this assault thing is just rumor at this point.

That certainly is a question currently. The timeline of when TJ found out about the allegations\tests\etc is going to come up in the next couple days.

Could also depend when the incident was reported to police.

For sure. My read on it was it was reported before, but for whatever reason the victim didn't want to move forward for awhile. Sounds like that changed and he was DNA tested this summer.

Who knows when anything would have been disclosed to the basketball program staff though.

Also didn't practices just get started this week?

That doesn't surprise me as I would have expected someone with his size to have absolutely dominated on the glass in high school. Don't get me wrong, I wanted him to come to Iowa, but was always surprised he didn't have better numbers across the board.
His HS career reminded me of Brackins in college. His play was an audition for the next level rather than the best interest of his current team.

Yeah, Chris reading the article on the radio says it was reported in October (presumably at the time). Maybe this is DNA test results/victim deciding to move forward?

Reading the application for the warrant leads me to believe that this was a tough decision. But probably best move for all parties.

That will be cut out soon. Good on TJ for holding this program to a higher standard and pulling the trigger on releasing XF from his scholarship. Its one thing to preach culture but its another thing to follow through when it regards one of your young, high potential players.

High potential, low drive. Williams just said on the radio he wasn’t even a rotation guy at this point. Not as hard to cut the end of the bench guy no matter how high the ceiling might be.

It amazes me how many of these kids have it damn-near made (in Foster's case, possible NBA talent) and they go and ruin it all themselves left and right. Just had to go a few years without doing something insane, and put in enough effort to get by and show off. That's it.

(Obviously this isn't proven yet, but I have my doubts that he'd be kicked off the team without a pretty good reason for it)

Oh wow. What a bummer (and obviously far beyond anything on-court/untapped-potential related, if any weight to SA allegation).

When I saw the coach's comment a few does ago that he "couldn't elaborate further" I knew it was beyond simply injury.
