When Bates comes into the game, assuming there isn't a field position issue, what would the first play you call be? I would put him in the gun and let him chuck it deep, as the D will be expecting a run.
Put him in the shotgun and run some sort of option play out of a spread set, so he can get on the edge and use his ability.
I'm calling a Zone Read play to A-Rob because we should be manhandling thier d-line all night long.

I'd probably do the same thing. Let him get in, hand it off a few times, get into the flow of the game, then let him start making some short throws to get his confidence up. But what do I know.
Screen pass to A-Rob. Have him complete a couple relatively easy ones to get him in the flow.
Edit: Bryce beat me to it.
Little shuttle pass inside run...
Not to take this OT, but a question I've always had...
Shuttle pass
or
Shovel pass
Both high school coaches I had called it shovel, but every camp I have been to called it shuttle, so who knows, I'll side with the college coaches....
