    A little bitter cuz it's KU, and that could have been us especially in 2011. Also sweet cuz everyone always gushes over p12 and b10; this gives the b12 some cred. Hopefully this lights a bigger fire under CJL.

    I think this year is the closest we match up with Texas physically; samara and grace looked like they could play for texas. What killed us was we got tentative/nervous with serve and pass, and we had way too many serving errors.

    Just remember Iowa hasn't beat us in vball in over a decade. The new coach understood the importance. He was smart to schedule a tournament where we played later against a good team.

    I went to the open practice. Jess Schaben and Grace Lazard impressed me the most for the freshman. Remi looked good also.

    Faster Offense?

    Basically the setter just gets the ball to the hitters faster (low ball arch), and the hitters start their motion earlier. If you've seen Texas play, they are notorious for the "moon ball" where they set the ball really high to their hitters and they have to wait longer for it to come down...

    Wow, wasn't expecting a win! and I didn't get to watch it :( Looking at the stats, Conaway hit 560% with 15 kills, 8 BA, and 4 digs; what a stud freshman!

    Yea, we'll probably lose @OU and @KU, but it just amazes me that we're two spots from being seeded with our record; RPI is king in volleyball. For example, Purdue is ranked but has an rpi in the 40's, they are very close to the bubble

    Big match against K-State tonight

    I always wondered why we went away from the 6-2. Harris has a real nice touch. I have no idea which setters we're gonna use next year, as we have the 22nd ranked player coming in that's a 6'0 setter.

    Volleyball: ISU at Baylor 10/25

    It's just disappointing; we easily take the first two, then we think we can coast to a sweep but lose the third 16-25. Is the requirement you have to be .500 overall or in conference to make the tourney? I feel bad for CJL, I bet she is just pulling her hair out with this young group.
