Rewatching the finals this morning. Good lord that Illinois freshman Martinez is good. First undefeated freshman since Cael and they said two-thirds of his wins came with bonus points.

There were some typical low scoring stall fests in some of the finals but it was refreshing to see guys like Martinez, Dieringer, Brewer and obviously Steiber come out and be on the attack offensively and rack up points. Even the heavyweights were getting after it.

So I know Judoka kind of rattled off some of the key players in our lineup next year but does anyone have preliminary guess of what our full lineup might be next year?

Weatherman definitely faded at the end of the season. But if he can get healed up/his head on straight (whichever of the two caused him to fade, I don't know which it was), 174 completely clears out. 6 of the 8 AAs were seniors and Weatherman was 2-0 against one of the two non-seniors (Epperly) and while he went 0-2 against the other one (Crutchmer) they were both very tight matches. Tanner will deservedly start the year ranked pretty high.
Would Dieringer move up? He looks big.

He might. They've got Marsteller in the room as well and they might want to make room for him given his (relative) struggles this year while making 157. 174 had such a big group of dominant seniors there might be some movement up from 165 and down from 184 as people try to position themselves for the podium.

I'll take a stab. I don't have any inside knowledge about anyone planning on moving up/down a weight, how serious Hall or Dante would be about Olympic redshirts, or anything like that. So I could be totally wrong but here goes.

125: Boston or Larson
133: Hall
141: Meeks or Rodriguez
149: Moreno
157: ? Breitenbach? Woiwer?
165: ? Molina maybe?
174: Weatherman
184: Weatherspoon
197: Harrington
HWT: Smith

We've got a couple talented guys like Hernandez and Rodriguez-Spencer stuck around 141/149. So 141-157 could end up totally different.

Who am I missing?

141-157 appears to be crowded. Gabe is a lock, but will he stay at 149 or move up to 157 to make room for a guy like Rodriquez-Spencer, Meeks or Bubba?

Would Molina be better than Breitenbach or Woiwor? What about Jesse Doyle? Is he good enough to challenge Lelund for 184 spot?

Doyle had to retire from wrestling this season due to concussions if I remember correctly.

Missed that one. I think we may take a step back dual-wise without MM and Kyven, but as long as our upperclassmen continue to improve, we should still be a decent team. I'm really excited to see what the newer guys will bring to the team after redshirt years aka Breitenbach, Renaldo R-S, Boston and Harrington.

Here is the criteria for an Olympic redshirt. I don't think either Hall or Dante are currently eligible but might be wrong. Obviously, Dante could take a normal redshirt:

Just staaaaaaaaahp, look at your post history. Stop posting and go away.

We've gone over the rules for olympic redshirts 2-3 times this season already and know they'd have to do really well in the Olympic styles this summer to be eligible.

But if somebody doesn't post the occasional non-****** thing, or doesn't post a couple empty niceities every one in a while how will they convince people who don't regularly read the wrestling threads that they aren't just a pantherhawk who shows up to complain about Jackson like clockwork whenever something goes poorly?

Yep like I said his team lost with 0 champions and his other got outright embarrassed, no better time to show up pose as cyclone and get our our fan base riled up. I for 1 will expose him post for post until he stops.

Health is so huge for performance at nationals. Hall, Moreno and Weatherman all could AA if 100% healthy and run the tourney again

Also you don't just replace guys like Mike Moreno & Kyven, but Gabe, Earl, Tanner, Larson, Meeks and Lelund and others are ready for a bigger taste of success

Judo or Buf or whoever ... who are the frontrunners for the team race next year? I assume Ohio State (gag), Penn State ... who else?

Minnesota graduates both Dardanes, Ness, Storley and Schiller. Hoks lose Moore, Evans, Kelly, Jeva and Telford..But you never know who they each have waiting their turns.
