I'd like to know the people on this thread who didn't have to invest through the last two "true" bear markets. 2000 to 2003 and 07/08. This is NOTHING compared to that. While the 2020 event was technically a bear market, the Fed bought our way out of that one so I'm not counting that.
If you're panicking out of your investments, then your investment horizon is out of whack with your portfolio, and you need to adjust it. You can't have it both ways.

Have you seen the crap some of the people on here are buying? I'm sure their account statements look similar to those during the two bear markets!

Couldn't happen to a shittier company.

Here's to another 50% drop
I hate them too, but man…..there’s a buy opportunity coming. No way does Facebook stay down long. Just too much potential revenue.

I could care less about $FB, beyond the fact that it will have/ is having a ripple effect on the market as a whole. Wiping out $220 BILLION dollars in market cap value in a SINGLE DAY, is nonetheless astonishing to say the least, and could very well be a precursor (canary in a coal mine, if you will) to what could happen more broadly in 'growth' plays - many of which have been discussed in this thread and the 2021 thread.

Maybe we'll have a more fractured growth play in stocks. FB ***** the bed, but a Tesla runs wild.

This is going to be a fun year.
