Stats for past ISU players 2024 season:

Terrence Lewis (Grambling State) - 7.8ppg/2.2 rpg/.3 apg
Xaiver Foster (SMU) - 0ppg/.5rpg/0apg *What a bust
Tre Jackson (Western Carolina) - 13.6ppg/3.3rpg/1.9apg
Jaden Walker (Eastern Carolina - 5.5ppg/3ppg/1/5ppg
Tyrese Hunter (Texas) - 10.9ppg/2.6rpg/4.4apg

The All ISU Transfer team:

PG Jeremiah William (Rutgers) 12.5ppg/5rpg/1apg *only played two games this year
SG Caleb Grill (Missouri) 8.4ppg/5.8rpg/1.4apg *out for the year wrist injury
SF Darlinstone Dunbar (Hofstra) 18.3ppg/7.2rpg/1.4apg
PF Blake Hinson (Pittsburg) 18ppg/5rpg/.6apg
PF Tristan Enaruna (Cleveland State) 19ppg/6.4rpg/2.8apg

*would have to play three forwards no center, unless you slot Foster in lol.

This all ISU transfer team would make a good run I think. All offense not a lot of defense.
The Hinson and Williams ones would be interesting, I think it was just on timing and circumstances that didn't work out well for them. Seems to be now though.

But holy Xavier Foster. Crazy to see someone that had talent not amount to much in college. Didn't someone say he had a motivational and attitude problem?

Mercedes Leech is averaging 20 ppg at Davenport college. Thinking that’s a D3. Still wonder how good he would have been had he not destroyed his leg
Let me add him and Luke Anderson. I forgot about those two, didnt even play a game.

I believe the adjectives used to describe him by my Dad's friend were, Lazy, immature and soft. Basically the worst things you can be with talent. Also, not Prohm's strengths as a coach to fix.

Should have been a Longhorn, perfect fit.

Never came to fruition, but we all know AJ Green was a flip of a coin away from playing with us last year. Made the right decision for himself. Absolutely went off tonight in a loss. 27pts in 22min. 7-8 from 3

Thanks for reviving this. Been too busy to keep up this winter.

Did those two even make it to the second week of practice?
I remember CW saying something about them showing up and it being VERY evident they weren't D1 players. Not sure how they were evaluated that poorly but SP's hit rate on recruits/transfer was real bad. Had some gems (THT, Wigginton, Shayok, Hali) but wow he had some busts.

Funny seeing some of these names again. Forgot about half of them. Made me look up Clayton Vette to see what happened to him. Looks like the NBA didn't need Ivan.

Any past isu players make the tournament?
Grambling, where Terence Lewis eventually ended up, made it in yesterday from the SWAC.

I don't know if he's playing though, as he hasn't recorded any stats for a while. For his sake I hope he didn't get injured again.

Also, it's the SWAC, but we did beat Grambling in the non-conference.

Yeah Lewis last recorded stats occurred in a game on Feb 24. Actually had a great game with 16 points on 7/8 shooting. I can't find any news about if he's injured or what the deal is

I don't believe so other than Lewis with Grambling. And unless Western Carolina or Cleveland State play in the CBI or something, doesn't look like any other former Cyclones will be balling into March*

*- SMU and Xavier Foster made the NIT.
