Take the over on ISU and OSU. You’ll make money
I think the under on KSU and over on WV too, but will look at schedules before putting $ on it.

WV should be tough at home as always. And KSU seems inflated wrt Avery Johnson hype. He has looked good but in pretty limited experience. What if he gets scouted? What if he gets hurt? 9.5 is a lot.

He'd have to have 37 losses within those 3 wins to match the same W% of our 'winningest' coach. I can't wait until he passes it because man, the 'winningest' coach with 85 losses to 56 wins just doesn't give me warm and fuzzies. Don't get me wrong, very happy to have had McCarney, just not happy to call him 'winningest'.

The winningest coach at most schools just happens to be the coach that was at the school longest. That's important. In order to be successful now, it's key that McCarney managed to win enough and stay long enough to stabilize the program. Same thing with Johnny and basketball.

But Campbell's the best coach we've had in football and it isn't really close (Majors was good, but Campbell has him beat because he stayed.). And TJ could very well be on the way of being the best coach we've had in basketball.

Predicting kickoff times months out is among the dumbest pastimes but I’m here for it.

When will that be announced?

Have an event that weekend, trying to plan around it.

Anyone have an idea, please?

Thursday.

I have heard rumors that our first game will NOT be ESPN+ and will be 2:30.

I’ve also heard that Iowa/Iowa St will be 2:30 on CBS.

Ark St will be ESPN+

Feldman likes the Clones over 7.5 wins.

Iowa State — 7.5 wins: The Cyclones had a challenging setup for 2023, as ISU and rival Iowa dealt with a gambling investigation. Matt Campbell’s program ended up being one of the youngest teams in Power 5 football, with freshmen playing prominent roles. After opening 1-2, which included a 10-7 loss at Ohio, the Cyclones got things together, finishing 7-6 and 6-3 in Big 12 play. Almost all the key pieces are back and have a lot more seasoning. Rocco Becht, now a sophomore, is a budding star. He threw 23 touchdowns and just eight interceptions in 2023. He has a terrific WR group led by Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins. Abu Sama III, a dynamic RB, ran wild against K-State for almost 300 yards as a true freshman. The Cyclones also have five O-linemen back, each with starting experience. Middle linebacker Jack Sadowsky and safety Beau Freyler give ISU toughness and savvy in the middle of the defense. The tough games: at Iowa, at WVU, at Kansas, at Utah and then K-State in the season finale. Don’t be surprised if Campbell has a Top 25 team this year. These guys might just be good enough to sneak into the CFP if Becht plays as well as some folks inside the program believe he can.
