The difference between last year and this year is Audi is now a known commodity. Any post player that would come here would likely be signing up for less than 10 minutes at the 5, thus the more likely chance of a 4/5 that could get minutes at another position.
Audi is a great player, but would she benefit from playing 25-27mpg vs. 30mpg? Similar to TJ's approach with Jones & Ward. Sure they could play 30 mpg, but they could go 110% playing 17-23 mpg.

The staff has minutes to attract a quality 4/5 type player. Either as starter at 4 or backup at 4 & 5.

Audi's emergence could change how CBF recruits over the next few years as she's going to be planted in the paint. Surround her with a great passing PG and a bunch of spot-up jump shooters.

On defense does ISU become predominately a zone defense team?

With Texas and Oklahoma moving to the SEC next year, it would seem that Iowa State along with Kansas State (with Lee coming back) and Baylor would be the favorites heading into next season.

Utah looks like they might be decent. Colorado is usually decent but loses a lot off this season. Iowa State should definitely be in the hunt but top 2-3 is not a given. A full season of experience and playing together hopefully let's our freshman take big steps next year.

Gabby Gregory is done, but Serena Sundell was only a junior this season, along with the Glenn twins. I'm a big fan of Serena Sundell - she's does everything well and plays the game the right way. You can tell she's the "coach on the floor" by the interactions between she and Jeff Mittie.

I see KSU and Baylor being rated above us, plus TCU has scored a couple nice signings in the transfer portal. I wonder if Isnelle Natabou might consider rejoining her old head coach, Mark Campbell - she has undeniable athletic ability and he coaxed production from her at Sacramento State.
I have a hard time seeing anyone picked above us in the conference. Especially considering how we took care of business with BU and KSU this year. Lots to play out in the next month.

Syd Harris:
Appeared in 16 of TCU's final 18 games after being forced to sit out all of nonconference play due to an ankle injury she sustained at the tail end of fall camp ... Averaged 9.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent behind the arc ... Ranked fourth nationally at season's end in 3-pointers per 40 minutes (4.4) ... Led all Big 13 players 6-1-or-taller in 3-pointers per game (2.0) ... Was 14th nationally among players at least 6-1 in 3-point percentage ... Finished with an effective field goal percentage of .811, which would have led the country had she averaged the minimum five field goals made per game needed to be eligible for inclusion in the ranking ... Increased her scoring average to 12.1 points per game in a 10-game stretch from Jan. 13-Feb. 24 ... Notched eight double digit scoring performances ... Was one of only two Horned Frogs to score in double figures in five consecutive games alongside All-Big 12 players Madison Conner and Sedona Prince ... Knocked down three-or-more 3-pointers five times ... Scored a TCU career-high 27 points behind a 5-12 clip from long range in TCU's 79-72 road win at Cincinnati on Feb. 17 ... Tallied 22 of her points in the second half of the victory ... Led all scorers with 22 points vs. Kansas on Feb. 3 ... Scored a game-high 17 points at No. 24 Oklahoma on Feb. 7 ... Tallied 16 points - all of which came in the second half - and a season-best seven rebounds on Jan. 13 at Houston ... Matched her season-high on the glass in consecutive home wins over Houston and Texas Tech on Feb. 24 and Feb. 28.

I'm starting to feel the clouds parting. This video makes that feeling even better.
I apologize if this is off-topic.

What’s the projections on PT? Going to start right away or going to be a shot in the arm off the bench?
We have 90ish minutes at the 2 /4 spots and Brown's backup minutes. Seems like we have minutes for at least 2 portal perimeter shooters. Tanke, Joens, Jackson and Williams all have potential, but we need more proven players to raise the bar. Consistent players earn starter minutes.

CBF has 6 returnees and 2 freshman recruits, so he needs to sign at least 4 portal players this spring. IMO he may need to get a little creative. Sign 3 proven P6/G5 players and then target prospects. Women like Belanger who had success at D1 lower levels or JUCO and looking for challenge of playing P5.

Looks like a very nice add.
Should be able to play positionless BB 2-4 with Harris, Brown and Williams
Ryan and Crooks rounding out the starting 5 leaves Jackson, Joens, Tanke and Wilson off the bench. I'm sure some of you will differ on who our 5th start is. Jackson would be the most likely of the 4.

Depth wise a post would be ideal. Wouldn't be surprised though if we end up with 3 more. A post, forward and guard to get us to 12. Having Ryan for this bonus year would seem to make this a go for it type situation.
