I would be of a mind to make finishing a shot a 3-pt takedown and getting a takedown off someone else's shot a 2-pt takedown. Would at least reward offense. Subjective, sure, but it would at least be interesting.

Last year in the Big 12's David was hitting a switch single on KOT. I think he has to maybe go that route instead of rely on the blast double.

He tried that this match and gave up a counter td

My understanding is if Chittum would have taken neutral in the first sudden death and doesn’t give up a takedown or stalling call he would have won due to the :30 seconds of riding. Can anyone confirm?

No. I think ride time only counts at the very last set.

I'm a novice wrestling fan, but man...after watching these Championship matches, can't remember being this vocal or jumping up every minute yelling at the TV. An acute difference from having the USWNT vs Brazil on the second TV.

That wasn’t the best version of Carr. Don’t jump ship! He will be fine. We will see a better version of David in 2 weeks when he’s standing center Mat on Saturday night getting his hand raised! That’s all that matters now

Why wasn’t it? All we’ve heard leading up to this is Carr is looking the best he’s ever looked in his entire career.
