Not exactly sure.
Seems crazy that people can knee wrestle or sit on the outside the entire match and get nothing, but yet Carr got a stalling point when he was riding KOT late in the 2nd.
I forget the match, but one wrestler was out of bounds and literally stood there facing his opponent and neither moved for several seconds; no stall call there. Thought you were supposed to work your way in, they stood 6 foot apart and stared at each other and then they both moved towards each other.

Three HTH conso semis among teams #2-10:

141 - Echemendia (ISU)/Woods (IOWA)
157 - Shapiro (CORN)/Andonian (VT)
165 - Caliendo (IOWA)/Olejnik (OKST)

One guy will get 3.5, the other 0. The biggest swings left on the back side when looking at potential max scores.

Anybody have any problems with the Varsity app? Wasn't able to watch yesterday because of work and same today unfortunately. Only got a couple minutes at best yesterday before the audio stopped altogether. I'd restart the app but same thing happened again and again. Tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone but no go. Needless to say I was very annoyed. Fingers crossed it just works for me today but if anybody has any potential solutions, please send them my way!

Sometimes it will randomly cut out for me. If I kept trying it eventually started working. It’s done it for football too.

I'm curious about what the training staff provided for options to manage Yonger's broken finger and what was accepted/decided upon; seems a splint might not be acceptable in competition.. I guessed there was fracture pain somewhere; thought maybe ribs. Seems Dresser thought the adversity could have been better managed. Some team/athlete discussions/decisions will remain internal I expect. Tough situation.

Anything but a trophy will be a disappointment and really looking back now we were probably the heavy favorites for 2nd and underperformed. Still proud of the guys though and it is still another step forward for Dresser and ISU. It feels like we are literally taking 1 step forward every year and not 2 or 3 that could be possible but Dresser said from the very beginning that this will take time and their will be no shortcuts and boy was he right. Let's go 6-0 today and see where we end up and then onward!

I disagree on disappointment. We were likely a mangled finger away from being in the drivers seat this morning.

i thought Carr’s penalty was for a 5 count in the standing position because he had a leg instead of around the waist. The ref had a count on for something.
