Best "Cheap" Beer

Correct. Anything Minhas is pure piss. Just the worst. If it were the only alcohol left on the planet, I'd just quit drinking.
What I don't get in instances like that, do people at the factory actually think it's decent?

Old Style: costs about the same as Busch Light. Tastes better than bud heavy with about the same alcohol content.

Keystone light : Coors Light in a can that costs less

With less popular beers, you have to find someplace that goes through a lot of it, preferably chilled.

I miss the "old" Old Style. Old Style and Hamms Genuine Draft were my options in high school (only thing in the old man's beer fridge)

I don't think so. They're making the cheapest product they can. They have to know it's terrible, and it has to be related to some ingredient choice.

I've never got the impression they were trying and just not doing a good job of it.

Old Milwaukee light. Just replenished machine shed fridge at $13.98/30 pack. Good beer at good price.

A mixture of stuff in the house for family and friends.
