From The Wrestling Nomad yesterday:Biggest name left out: Travis Wittlake?
Was he injured this year? 10-8 record with some real suspect losses. It looks like Storr did not make it either, and he was the only one on the Michigan squad who didn't get a bid.
From The Wrestling Nomad yesterday:
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The App state kid has some terrible losses. Wonder if wittlake is just cutting too much weight
Agree , nothing since October, but at least he’s staying active in the sportThat was almost a year ago, and there's been radio silence for the last 6-7 months.
If there was a lot of progress and positive momentum, I'd think that's the sort of thing they'd be shouting from the rooftops. Just gives me a bad feeling.
Could be. I think recency is a big eye opener. Lost 6 of his last 8, and closed the season on a 5 match losing streak.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The App state kid has some terrible losses. Wonder if wittlake is just cutting too much weight
Yeah that could be. Wonder why he didn’t just try for a medical redshirtHe could barely move with a heavily taped up knee at Big 12s. He's been injured most of the year, wouldn't shock me if he's been wrestling without an ACL.
I don't know for sure but I think he was likely injured for a time as he missed a number of duals. But he was there for the Big10s and finished 8th.Was he injured this year? 10-8 record with some real suspect losses.
Looks like he got hurt at the CKLV in early December and didn’t come back until early February.I don't know for sure but I think he was likely injured for a time as he missed a number of duals. But he was there for the Big10s and finished 8th.
Lost to Zach Hartman, Luke Weber and Tanner Cook after Marinelli, and it doesn’t look like he scored a single offensive point in either of those matches. Got shut out by Hartman and Weber, while losing to Cook 9-4.Went and found the match of Wittlake and the Bull. He lost 3-2 in a 1 takedown match and looked perfectly fine. That was less than a month ago so he must have just got hurt
At the coaches press conference Zeke Jones talked about the Pac12 growing their wrestling conference. I wouldn't be surprised if some combination of Northern Colorado, Utah Valley, AF, and Wyoming at some point move over to the pac12. Hopefully big12 is working hard to keep some of those programs in the conference and not lose them
Any of the new schools have wrestling?Big 12 should get Little Rock, in exchange for Utah Valley and Cal Baptist.
That'd leave the Big 12 with 12 teams, and bump the Pac-12 from 6 to 7.
