Met with the neurosurgeon 2day after MRI. It shows swelling in the left side of brain. She's in a coma. Nothing that can't be recovered from with lots and lots of healing time but nothing guaranteed. No prognosis on awakening. Will go to skilled care facility full time when she leaves hospital someday. Recovery will likely be in terms of months/years, not days/weeks. Tough news. Tough day.

The CF family is with you and yours. Stay in touch as you're able, so we can help if we're able.

Short update: Heather moved out of ICU yesterday after 18 days. She's in a nuerology unit now. Her eyes have been open at times. Therapy is going as well as we can expect. Chase is home and is out of his neckbrace. He's doing as well as can be expected. I appreciate all the thoughts and wishes. Hopefully we'll be moving on this week.
