I don't think the state has the same family pull for Naz and Deonte as it does for the Bohannons & Garzas.

I am guessing both Naz and Deonte are making more overseas than they would make on a G-League contract. I do not think even 2-way contracts are that lucrative unless you get the full number of games with the NBA team.
I don’t have any knowledge of the Garzas having any connection to Iowa until Luka went to school at Iowa. That being said, like you, I don’t know a lot about them either. And, frankly, not interested enough to look them up.
2 way deals are a flat $500K now. They don’t do the number of games anymore.
