Honest question, why's it a big deal that he has a gun?
I would guess there is a high percentage of pro athletes that do, but not many that are conducting themselves like him. The suspicion after the pacers game was that the black suv he was in was pointing a red laser weapon at them but was nothing that came from it

Pattern of terrible decision making. Having a gun is 1 thing, waving it around recklessly after all the other crap he did this past year is another. Dude has already lost himself around 40 million in guaranteed money by not making an All NBA team mostly due to suspensions.

It's a league image situation. The NBA will drop the hammer on anyone that starts to move the view of the league back to where it was in the late 90's early 00's.

He's also a repeat offender. Morant has gone out of his way multiple times in the last few years to build up some sort of street clout, which is genuinely awkward when you realize he grew up middle class in the suburbs.

The obviously hasn't learned anything and still with a group of people that clearly don't have his best interest at heart. Memphis needs to keep him suspended until makes the necessary changes. Can't have the face of a franchise doing this stuff.

so you are telling me no other NBA players on the team or in the league have a gun? Ok sure

Per article in March he was on video drunk with a gun in a club. Than a video of him flashing a gun in a car. Another, fighting a HS kid prospect and than later coming to his house with a gun in his waistband. Guys a timebomb just waiting to explode.

Tweeting about hollow points, getting in an altercation with the Pacers after a game a couple months ago and then driving off with his guys while shining laser pointers on the Pacers team bus, his dad picking fights with Shannon Sharpe in the stands, etc.

It's just constant with him which is so unfortunate, because as a player it's hard to think of someone who is more interesting and entertaining to watch play.

I assume many players have guns. They don’t play around with them and show them off on the internet like a Bufoon. The issue isn’t that he has a gun, it’s that he tries to be a gangsta when he’s not. All of this acting hard stuff from him is going to get him in trouble one day.
