Everyone knows that if they had the chance to play that Texas game they would have more than made up for that scoring deficit.

True, it's unfair to judge when their most competitive recent series is left out:

(AWAY) 2019/10/19 Kansas 48 - Texas 50 L
(HOME) 2018/11/23 Kansas 17 - Texas 24 L
(AWAY) 2017/11/11 Kansas 27 - Texas 42 L
(HOME) 2016/11/19 Kansas 24 - Texas 21 OT W

LOLOLOL....so the gist of that release is they parted ways because "we need to win football games?"
Not even a vague mention of the real reason? What a dumpster fire that AD is.
They can't touch it as they didn't do their due diligence or swept it under the rug. Either is bad.

At this point, this job is basically an easy Big 12 paycheck, super low bar (maybe win 2 games in year one, get to 4 by about year 4) and either get a payout/lawsuit when you leave...granted, miserable, but easy money, lol

Most of those guys have turned down far better jobs, why the **** would they jump at Kansas?
The timing of this couldn’t be worse for KU. Who in their right mind would take this job? The AD’s seat has to be getting hot. It’s March - singing day was a month ago and spring practice is right around the corner. There’s almost no chance to change the roster for this season. There’s all the reason the program is in poor shape - administration support, facilities and fan engagement isn’t there. It’s a 2-4 year payday, if that.

I’m guessing they’ll have an interim coach for this year. They’re not winning more than 1-2 games, if that, no matter who is on the sidelines. Interim coaches are (comparatively) cheap. As long as they can roll 11 warm bodies out on the field they’ll collect the TV money. Maybe they’ll find a guy who can get them back to square 1 next year.

That's just lazy, Bruce.
Only one thing....$$$$$$$$$$. KU's sports budget is actually $18M a year more than Iowa States...basically 20% more despite having the same number of men's sports (6) and one more women's sports (11) than Iowa State (6/10). So they can pay for a coach. Oh, and Adidas...
