you guys are talking about how weak Big 12 football is without CU and NU. Haven't you guys been watching college football the last 5 years? The Big 12 has been the second toughest league with no thanks to NU. Last year was the exception. KU, Mizzou, Tech, OSU, Texas, and OU have all been good on a NATIONAL level. The Big 10 is the league that is underperforming on the field, losing to MAC teams and never putting together winning bowl records. Remember 2007 when the Big 12 had 3 legit BCS teams but Mizzou got screwed out of a bid? Great show guys, but don't downplay the Big 12, it has been a great league, even without NU being very good.

I agree they shouldn't be ripping on the big 12 for anything in football. Take it easy on my big 10 though! But the top and middle of the big 12 have always scared me as a hawk fan! Good luck this year!

Well, conference strength is cyclical. The Big 10 had some great years in the late 90s and early 2000s. The Big 10 will be a huge power going forward. Last year the Big 10 made some good strides. One thing working against the Big 10 is their schools have to travel to other conferences home states to play in bowls games. They play SEC teams in their back yard and of course the Rose Bowl is played in the home state of the California schools.

NU is 2-14 in the last 7 years against all big 12 south teams (excluding baylor) Really, losing NU makes us weak???

Last I checked we beat Nebraska (with our starting QB and RB injured) and Colorado last year.

The same Nebraska fans that have ripped the Big Ten for years are now praising the conference as being the best in the nation. Sorry, Big 12 football is still better.

It's no contest. The Big 12 has better football than everyone except the SEC. The only arguments could be for positions 3-6 amongst BCS conferences.

Losing the best program and team in the North is an issues. Losing the 2 biggest FB names in the North is an issue. Texas an OU are on their own level, the rest of the teams in the conference are good but not on that level. Nebraska could be the only other team to reach that high level.

Heres my rankings for Football:
1. Texas- BCS talk yearly
2. Oklahoma- almost the same
3. Texas Tech- consistent 9-10 win seasons
4. Missouri- quietly puts together winning seasons every year
5. Nebraska- weaker now that late 90's early 00's but still solid for the most part
6. Oklahoma St.-improved recently
7. Kansas- had one amazing season surrounded by a few okay ones.
8. Texas A&M- a few okay seasons
9. Colorado- 2 mediocre seasons but some really bad ones
10. ISU- same minus 1 North title
11. Kansas St.- no bowls recently
12. Baylor- same

Losing Nebraska hurts a bit however Colorado is pretty irrelevant. Neither is the crushing blow that losing Texas or Oklahoma would be though.

So apparently, Chip Brown told them today that apparently Iowa fans should listen to. Does anyone know what this is?

The Big 12 is still in top 3 conferences for football, so im unclear how that makes them weak?! SEC, BIG 12, and BIG 10 are best 3 still... they are insane.
