Is it just me or will we have a lot more options for transfers this year than before? Maybe it's just because I'm paying attention more closely now.

It's a lot easier to get good transfers when you lose the vast majority of your previous years production.

I hope so. There are so many good ones out there this year and we have as much as anyone to sell with 4 openings and almost 90% of our scoring to replace.

Want list at this point:
1) Juiston
2) Morrow
3) Grad transfer or juco guard/wing that gets buckets
4) Best available or bank it

I still hope there's a chance at Elijah Brown as a "scorer." One-year grad transfer, can drive to the hoop and also shoot from outside.

And – he's a lefty too, so Prohm obviously would want him. ;)

Weathers has followed a decent amount of Cyclone people on twitter recently, and wants to be closer to home(Shawne Kansas).
I didn't know until now that Marcus Weathers (twin brother, 6-5 sf, 9.7pts and 6 reb) is transferring also and they want to be together. Makes this situation more interesting. I guess we do have the scholarships.

Marcus is 6-5 200 and put up 9.7 and 6.0 as a freshman. For comparison, Nader put up 10.4 and 4.2 his freshman year at NIU (same conference) Bowie 5.9 and 3.0.

Michael is definitely the better brother but I think Marcus could be a serviceable player given a year to sit out and grow.

Some chatter here in Nebby that Morrow is leaving because Miles wanted to use him exclusively at the 5. Morrow wants to stay a true 4 wherever he lands...
Playing a 4 at ISU in Prohm’s 4 Out, 1 In spread offense would be a highly questionable fit for Morrow. He did not attempt a 3 pt shot last season. Juiston also is not a 3 pt shooter but he has much better playmaking and passing skills than Morrow who only had 8 assists for the entire season.

Good info. Although I would add that Nader was more about upside as a 6'6" guy with a huge wingspan that could almost play all 5 positions than his production and Bowie was an emergency 1 for 1 hope for the best. Imo he probably can play some, but it's the opportunity cost that's big.

The KU board has a thread about the brothers. Sounds like the bigger one is more of an athlete that plays basketball.

Dead period starts today, correct?

Quick research on twitter would suggest that Michael Weathers is following Prohm, CycloneAlert, CyCloneFanaticFan, and Nate Schmidt our player development.
