I am a new poster but a long time follower of CF. To be honest, I sometimes get a chuckle when individual posters here slam the other schools which our athletes compete against. What I cannot stomach is when the forum threads go to a political topic. This in turn has our own Cyclone fans slamming other Cyclone fans due to their political beliefs. Often times this has gotten even more vile than when they are slamming the fanbase of other schools. I truly believe that CF needs to ban all political threads from this site. I have visited other school forums a number of times that have bans on political threads. I do see the other forums have this must hatred among their own base. Yes there is the "You are dumb " type posts but not the vitriol that I have witnessed here.

Click on "preferences" within the dropdown menu
Find the check box for "hide" politics forum
Remove politics forums
Click "Save" on bottom of the preferences page
Close browser completely and then open again
When you come back to CycloneFanatic the forum will be hidden

The best part of the Cave is them attacking you for beliefs you don't even have.

I stick to the Hickory Park and Steve Prohm threads where it's safe.
Condiment discussions are quite civil also. Can learn a lot in those.
I think it makes more sense to hate someone because they have terrible beliefs than it is to hate someone because they went to a different University in the same state you went to college.
Even if I "hide" them, they are still there and other Cyclone fans are being debased to an extreme level. It has been said on this site before that we are a "family". This type of family would be considered extremely dysfunctional and would eventually break apart.
Again, it's always fun to watch people complain about political threads when any thread after a loss is full of the exact same finger-pointing and insults, and literally any discussion about a coach that the fan base has given up on - Prohm in the last season or two being the most recent example - is a total cess pool. But carry on.
You need to close all browser windows and then start back up for it to take effect.
