no better team for Vegas. Will be the most popular destination for away team fans. Sucks for Oakland but I like it

Oakland in general is nothing much (to be fair I'm going off what I've heard/read).

I kind of wondered by Oakland and San Francisco both had a team there. You would think eventually One of those cities fans would move to become a fan of what ever team stayed there.

My Stepdad lived in Fremont, was big Raiders fan until they moved to LA, almost overnight became a Niners fan. I've been to several A's game at the Oakland Coliseum, it is a pit. I like the idea of the Raiders in LV.

The current Oakland stadium is just terrible. I don't blame them for flirting with other cities.

Agree, the place is a dump. Great location right off the freeway and BART station right in the parking lot. However, city of Oakland is broke (so is the rest of the State for that matter). Very little chance of building something new in the Bay Area. If I was an owner, I wouldn't want my million $ players risking injury on a dirt baseball infield. Can't believe they have stayed as long as they have.

If the Raiders hadn't been trying to get something built in LA/LV they could have been smart and went in with the 49ers on their stadium in a Jets/Giants timeshare deal.

They tried, the 49ers said no.

That was the only way this was going to work, they weren't going to build two stadiums right across the Bay from each other. They should have built a shared stadium in San Jose.

Ah, I didn't know they tried. That's too bad. It would have been better for tax payers and for the cities involved.

I think it would be sweet to have a team in Vegas. Great for the fans of the visiting teams that want to make a weekend out of it

Yeah, this would be a big economic boost for the Las Vegas economy if they got an NFL team. I would also think that sports betting would increase a little more as well for the casino's.

I just picture the stadium now lined with slot machines. The suites have a Poker/Blackjack table. All marked up to extraordinary prices because you are in a stadium of course.

Raiders fan here. I would love it if they moved to Las Vegas. The Coliseum is a dump and Oakland doesn't seem to want to renovate it or pony up the dollars to keep the Raiders around. They are also the perfect team for Vegas. I'm hoping they move and still be able to get cheap airline tickets to Vegas out of Des Moines.

Gambling, prostitution and the Raiders seems like a match made in heav...well, one of the two.

I'm hoping they change their name to the Sin City Raiders and just own it.

I also think that the Las Vegas Raiders will be a destination for visiting fans.

I wonder if the NFL has any gambling-related concerns with this though
