Seeing that just makes my blood boil.

That isn't just a 15-yard penalty. Or an ejection. Or a suspension. Or being kicked off a team.

You could argue that's a form of assault for its malicious intent to cause harm.

There's no world where that's a football play. And taking out his knees like that could cripple him.

@Sigmapolis on an Iowa jury is voting to convict him for it.
If my memory is correct that didn't draw a flag. Amirite?

Their greatest contribution to the Big 12 was that damn statue thread from years ago. Still the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on a message board…anyone remember that?

To me, the issue is that if Texas had been as close to great as they think they are, college football could have been completely different.

Had they lived up to 50% off the hype every year, they could have been the Big XII equivalent of Alabama. But they consistently under perform, dragging the rest of the conference down with them.

If they could have competed for a championship on a semi regular basis it would have made a ton of difference. Instead they ***** about the level of competition (which regularly beat them) and run off to be bottom of the first third of the SEC.

And then there is Oklahoma… better than Texas on many levels, but lacking the confidence to step up and be a leader, so they follow UT to the new company where they can both wallow in middle management.

Can hate be just absolute? Without any qualifications or logic? Because I hate Texas with a passion. For all the reasons mentioned above. Mainly for their truly dishonorable and conference weakening behavior. For Matthew Mcconaughey and his body odor. For arrogance. For everything else.

All right All right All right!

At Texas home games during time outs and stoppages, Texas takes the opportunity to trot out and gush over about 5 big donors. And they have a system for this. They hustle them in and out. Between this and the football action, the PA announcer is non stop talking all game.

Don't worry the new gym cures that problem 10,000 capacity(?) and lots of shiny amenities so they don't have to pay attention to a sport they don't care about. It is Texas they only care about FB.

Wonder if the new gym has the live DJ that the old one did.

They only care about FB, but will never hesitate to count their swimming & diving championships when in a pissing match.

Not going to debate the negatives associated with UT but there are couple of things worth mentioning.

1) UT, NU, aggy and OU share equal blame for not agreeing to the formation of a B12 Network back in the 2005 timeframe. If any of those four vote for the network, the B12 likely sticks together for the long term to the benefit of all members.

2) Subsequent to that, the UT agreement with ESPN to create LHN saved ISU's ass from being relegated to the Big East.
The same usual suspects who stood in the way of equal revenue sharing in the early to mid days of the Big 12.

Championship game was only held in Dallas, but everyone had to give in and let them have the basketball tournament in a half filled arena for a rotation, instead of the best situation in the entire nation, just because we were trying to show how unified we were.

With our last scheduled football match up against the Longhorns approaching, I was chatting with a non-ISU friend about why XII and ISU folks dislike Texas so much. They asked, “well, what’ve they specifically done to make you hate them?”

A few things off top of my head:
- Backroom scheming to leave the XII
- Complaining about Horns Down & the conference making it a penalty
- numerous questionable officiating calls, namely Jeremiah George’s forward progress strip return

What else? Can be anything ISU or XII related
That whole 'don't mess with Texas' thing.
Let's mess 'em up, one last time, tomorrow night boys.

Also, didn't Texas ask A&M if they wanted to go in on a network together, but they said no. So Texas went it in alone and was successful at it, and then A&M complained about it later?

This. The Big 12 tournament anywhere other than KC is a joke (let's be honest for a second - that tournament is Kansas's to lose, and rightly so, which is what makes our showings there so much fun!)
