Surly was their favorite solely because the had so many quality beers on tap compared to the others. Although Surly is not my favorite, it is definitely up there because of the high quality of a large number of beers

His wife left the company at the start of the year. I'm going to take a wild stab that he will start his own brewery.
On a side note, Todd the Axeman is delicious and I just bought a bottle of Darkness that I can't wait to open. Surly defintely does it right.
I would find this highly doubtful. Every time I've talked with folks from Surly, they've got a pretty negative view of Big Beer.It's interesting now how everybody is guessing Surly gets sold. Or is being sold.
They all do until they see the type of money that gets paid to a brewery with a great product. Ballast Point, which was obviously more established than Surly, was sold for $1 Billion.
