I tried out the TopTracer range at Toad Valley with heated bays and indoor lounge area. Definitely different than TopGolf because you are hitting uphill instead of from an elevated tee. Also, all of the results you get are from a couple of cameras rather than where the ball actually goes.

Not a big fan of the price, and hope more courses don't take away their grass ranges to put in these facilities.
Is this just a simulator? When I searched on it the pics looked like one. I was under the impression you were in a building hitting into the open air.

Their website hasn't updated to include any pictures of the new facility. They do have a pair of very nice indoor simulators.

The new facility is a building with seating, but you actually hit outdoors (under an awning) at targets similar to TopGolf. Somewhat similar to the picture below, but the doors between inside and outside are smaller, and there is an automatic ball feeder like what TopGolf has.

Looks like they got all the outer poles put in in the last week. Looks like other Top Golf’s from Bays to back net is 215 yards. Maybe my depth perception is terrible, but it sure doesn’t seem that much with driving by.

It measures out to approx 215 yards according to the plans. As long it got staked correctly, it should be consistent with their other facilities.

It looked all of 200 when I drove by so I dont doubt it is 215. For the fun of it I might range it tomorrow during lunch.

Will be interesting how many golf balls end up in the Hy Vee gas station parking lot.

It’s damn near impossible to get one over the net, especially with their “house clubs”. The balls are really hard and dead.

Nets at the back are pretty high, you have to be able to really hit it to clear those.

my thoughts too. The last one I was at was in salt lake and I could smoke the back of the net, but to make it over the top of the net at 215 with those clubs and balls would be a pretty big hit.

A straight line down the outside poles to the point where the farthest central back pole sits is right about 200 yds. The arc of the tee boxes sits farther back than the first pole on the west. From the middle boxes to the central back pole is right at 215 yds. The far outside tee boxes are actually about 3-4 yards closer as the center point of the tee box arc is closer to the tee boxes than the central pole.

Criming at Top Golf again! What's with that place??

"Since last September, there have been more than a dozen gun-related arrests at Naperville's Topgolf facility"
