I think Deonte would get a shot with someone else if they didn't keep him around in OKC. If at the very least on a 2way
I hope so. Shooting under 20% from 3 this year isn't going to help him in today's league. As Georges says, there are 75 guys gunning for your job every year. Maybe it's just a question of getting his confidence back and he can get over 35%. The young man is talented and he's worked hard so I hope he lands somewhere.

My prediction is 7. No NBA contract for Naz and Deonte plus the addition of Tyrese.
Don't disagree at all. It's been tough going for him. I do think his flashes at times and his production in the G League is intriguing though. I doubt he'll ever be a regular rotation guy, but I'd be shocked if he just falls off the NBA map after OKC.

I hope he's in the lottery, but ISU's "sure-fire" NBA picks don't have the best history imho. I would rather see him go in the 10-14 range and not have to be relied upon as much. I think that will give him a better chance of success in the long run.

Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report had this blurb on Tyrese in the run up to the lottery today:

—I'm hearing a lot of top-10 talk for Iowa State's Tyrese Haliburton. He's likely to be the first NCAA point guard drafted and the second point guard to go after LaMelo Ball.

It's a good read about risers / fallers (or at least writers' perceptions of them). Link:

I'm a Timberwolves fan, but I'm not sure I'd even wish that horrible fate on Tyrese.

Jay Bilas has Tyrese as his #6 prospect according to the banner on tonight's NBA Lottery show.

I ran this simulation about 100 times with TH always in the 6-10 range. The most common team it had taking him was Knicks, with Bulls second most common.

I can’t see him going at 6. The Hawks are set in the guard court with Young, Huerter, and Reddish.
I just meant that I doubt he's going go in the Top 5 and I doubt he'll be there at #10.

Even though I could see every Knicks game, please don't let him go to that awful franchise while Dolan is still in charge.

That would be great for him if he went to Atlanta. My amateur opinion, he will never be 'Batman' but will be a great 'Robin'
