How could TJ allow such an abomination of a player like BRE be only the 3rd player in program history to reach two Sweet Sixteen's...

Weren't there like 5/6 guys that played on both the 2014 and 2016 teams?
I didn't know it was him on that run out to finish with the dunk as things were wrapping up and couldn't be happier for an ISU player at that moment.

There's always next year. Is TJ on the hot seat or does Iowa State give him another year to figure it out? Pretty sure Jamie's been reading these boards for candidates for the job..lol. I can't believe it's taken some time to buy in. IMO we have the best coach in the nation. I'll argue that point as long as anyone wants. I think of TJ and the program he's built and words like character and value come to mind. Not only does he win but he does it the right way.
Regarding the Sweet 16 double-appearances. The X-tweet means guys who had playing time in S16, not simply "on the roster." Hence omission of Niang (foot, '14) & Mitrou-Long (injury redshirt, '16). McKay and Nader were sit-out transfers in '13-14. (McKay's transfer was mid-season).
Technically, Robert also hasn't "appeared" in Sweet 16 — yet. But he's about to do so.
