Iowa can't keep its players out of trouble, ISU can't keep its coaches out of trouble.

Well at least it was only fifth degree. Heaven forbid if it was a higher degree.

It appears that he and his friend were trying to be responsible by taking a cab rather than driving home drunk, but things ended up going wrong when somebody got sick. Paying the clean up charge would have been the smart choice but this is easy to say with 20/20 hindsight.

Wow - A Chi Omega called the Ames Police because their TV was moved ?#?@?$

May 14: Norma Nelson reported someone entered the Chi Omega house at 227 Gray Ave., Ames, and moved the television.

The 5th degree theft was because he bolted from a taxi cab without paying his fare. So the boy got drunk, didn't have the money to pay the tab, and mouthed off to one of Ames' finest. Hmmmmm, anyone else here do something like this at the ripe old age of 24. If the guy does not work for the athletic department, this is not news.

Josh is a real good guy. Everyone does stupid stuff when they're drunk. Obviously, he would probably go back and do it differently if he could. I had classes with him and did a project with him. I don't think this is that big of an issue. Crap happens. It will pass.

Then again, for most of the PAULAs that we rip the Iowa football team over, if they don't play football for Iowa, it's not news. Yeah, I know - pattern of behavior and all, but still...

I'm guessing Norma is their House Director and that she might be bound by her contract with Chi Omega Nationals to report any suspicious activity (no matter how small), especially now that the house is empty for the summer.

I don't know if the "youthful indiscretion" excuse flies at 24. Don't want him around our athletes.

Sorry...act stupid like this and have it reflect on our fine WBB program = loss of job IMO regardless of how much of a "good guy" he is.
