If its temporary, like only missing one start then I'm fine with it. If its anything longer, this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

Can we just trade him to the Yankees already? Anything to get the monster contract and sideshow out of Chicago. His contract is starting to look at bad as Soriano's lately.

I really wish that teams would stop giving more than a 3-4 year contract to anybody. So many guys fall off once they get that extra stability, it has to be obvious to everyone that the odds are high when they offer these contracts. Then it becomes impossible to find another taker once it's too late:sad:

Not saying it's too late for Z. I'm just really getting to hate the huge contracts.

Sounds like this will be short term. I wonder if they are trying to shop Gornzelanny or Silva right now for some bullpen help?

At $18M per year that's a real expensive setup man. Most setup men pitch about 70 innings per year so that's around $250K per inning.
