Coach Rhaods will be on KXNO in the next hour to say his piece since he has great concern that Hawk fans may have something to complain about.

I heard KB used it medicinally to fix his glaucoma and a painfully clubbed foot that makes it difficult for him to see plays develop and causes him to be slow on coverage :jimlad:

More of crime than drinking alcohol, yes. More of a crime than drinking alcohol and driving, no.

Could somebody please clear up for me, because I honestly don't know, what did what's his name get for the OWI?

I thought he was still suspended, meaning he's missed 3 games and more than a few weeks of practice?

I want to know the reason behind the reinstatements soon here too. Really makes us look hypocritical of how we rip on Iowa's lack of discipline. I hope there is something pretty concrete behind the reason like the charges were dropped or something not just "we'll let the judicial system run its course" like the Hawks have said many times.

No offense, but I for one am sick and tired of why as Cyclone fans we must make decisions on how that makes us stack up to Iowa, or make us look to Iowa fans, etc.

And perhaps if we are not looking to be judged by those we have judged, we should have not judged in the first place.

Good - I'm glad CPR isn't trying to be some cowboy to impress the drill sergeant wing of cyclonefanatic. I'm sure more will come out in due time and in the mean time I will be looking foward to Army.

If any hawk fans try to bust your balls (which is what I'm sensing is the real issue to many of you) you just need to remind them that we don't care about players getting into minor trouble from time to time...we've all been bad and gotten caught. Getting caught twenty some odd times in roughly a year or so with some rape and felony fraud sprinkled in is what our problem was. Not some hawk player that had to much to drink.

Exactly. It appears that for many posters, the concern is what their hawk friends will say, rather than doing what is right for the program and for the players involved.

Just imagine what would happen to this board if one of our players got arrested for a felony...it would be equivalent to:

WJ and GC leaving + any Money Reynolds thread x anything involving Dave McCarney.

Back in the 80's, I used to work with guys that were on probation for minor drug charges. They were facing jail time (like 30-60 days) if they got caught with pot in their system. So what did they do? Kept right on smokin like chimneys and then drank gallon after gallon of green tea in the day(s) leading up to their **** test.

Two things always amazed me about that.

1. That they would risk jail time just to get high on a drug that is supposedly not addicting.
2. That they would almost never get caught.

I am sure that the testing has greatly improved since the 80s, but I'm sure the methods to aviod getting caught have improved as well.

Well unfortunately for me it was the only taunt I had left towards Iowa fans by halftime..."Well at least we're not a bunch of criminals."

Pretty weak, I know. But now I have to to change it to "At least none of our players have been indicted on a felon charge!"

That is roughly the same equation as Einstein's Theory of Relativity.
