Why so you can feel vindicated and come on here to tell everyone how right you were?
Nope, I'd love to be proven wrong, but from what I've seen that has formulated my opinion on the situation, the chances are slim, but continue on yaman!!

Another great football mind comparing a guy with four starts to a fifth-year senior / 3 year starter. Try comparing JT to AA at the same stage of their careers then tell me if I should be optimistic that JT can do what AA did or should I hope one of the younger guys take the reins. If AA was extremely better at four starts then I'll get on board with you. I'm waiting.......
Why are you drawing conclusions from comparing a full-time starter to an injured back-up?GP EFF ATT Comp INT % Yds TD LNG Yd/G
Arnaud,Austen 12 127.44 247-401-10 61.6 2792 15 54 232.7
well thats what he did his sophomore year before he seemed to plateau as a redshirt sophomore.....
Tiller,Jerome 7-1 88.8 39-82-0 47.6 363 1 39 51.9
Seriously get off the texas football player bias..
Tiller hasn't shown anything to make me optimistic for next year, I hope for the best, but he's definitely lacking things that we have seen the last three years....
You can hate on AA all you want, but the stats show he has been one of the best qb's we have had at Iowa state
We support our players in Texas when they are down.......Go Cowboys!
Now that is some bias.
CyDude16 said:Funny this excuse was hardly acceptable during the season for AA, but wait for Tiller it was!!
this.:yes:The "word on the street" means absolutely nothing at this point.
How many practices has Jantz had? How well did each QB play in the Spring Game? Oh, right, it's December.
This job will be won in spring football.
Disagree with that. Hardly ever is an open QB battle won in the spring. A leader will probably emerge, but I'd bet money that the battle will go on through the summer and into the fall. It wouldn't surprise me if 2 QBs get meaningful snaps in the first game or two. That's not optimal for sure, but Tiller clearly has not done enough to give the staff confidence in him and I really doubt that he can improve enough in one spring to claim the position outright.
Obviously, the sooner a starter is declared, the better it is for the team. We saw a few years ago what a QB controversy during the season can do to a team. But, letting things play out during the summer keeps everyone working at a top level throughout the offseason plus helps to prevent transfers.
Everyone calm down. You guys just wait. I was right about the win at Texas and I'm right about the QB situation for 2011. and when you see that I'm right your gonna want to kiss me.

No you're not right. You're simply speculating at this point. There is no set starting qb at this point, and if there is, then the coaches are fools. You don't just assume that a player who has never played on this team or practiced with them will all of a sudden will be "given" the starting role. He will have to earn that in camp and in practices. Can he earn it? Yes, definitely. But there is no freakin way that he is the starter at this point in time.
And your rationale about being right on the Texas game and now we should believe you on this is absurd. Heck, I'm calling an Auburn win in the NC. If that comes true, I can make random predictions and claim I have inside sources as well, right?
Hey bud calm down. I know some High school coaches that are in contact with the isu coaching staff. See sometimes College coaches make friends with high school coaches to set up some kind of recruiting ground. and believe it or not coaches are regular people (not CIA agents sworn to secrecy) Who share small pieces of info like whats going on at work and there opinions of whats going on, with there friends
Now im not claiming to be best buds with Paul Rhoads. im just saying im friends with some of the High school coaches and some other football trainers.
You can be best friends with CPR for all I care. Doesn't matter, because even he doesn't know who the starting qb for next year will be at this point. It's too early to tell. Sure Steele has a legitimate shot at the spot; I don't think they would have brought him in if he didn't have at least a chance to. Bottom line is, the job isn't determined at this point. Even if they did decide to move Tiller to WR, that still doesn't mean that Steele will start. Bottom line.

.
that's all this is. a coaches opinion. And if you interpreted it differently I'm sorry i wasn't more clear.
