Bend over to what exactly? So one conference game not including ISU will be shown on the LHN and in turn ISU has a much better chance of getting a better television slot for that weekend in return. What would ISU fans possibly have to be ****** off about?
Al_4_state, you might as well just bend over and take it, because that is what you are doing without complaint.
essentially what is happening here is that UT is going to make more money off of other fans that have to buy the network to watch one game and that money could be spent on that fans own team! and tv is tv sure but not everywhere is going to have access to the longhorn network.
I can't think of a better way to illustrate the difference between Iowa State and Nebraska fan bases than these two quotes.
Iowa State fans realize we're not a national power, and we won't be unless we make more money. This situation makes us more money, so that's what's important. Texas getting one game on their network could be annoying for us (if it's our game, but I doubt it will be), could be neutral for us (not us, doesn't affect our TV broadcasts), or could be good for us (not us, we get on nat'l TV instead). Right now, a rising tide in the Big XII floats all boats. True, Texas is floating a supertanker, but if we whine about that, our dinghy sinks.
Nebraska fans have yet to or are starting to realize they haven't been a national power for a while. Could they get back, sure. But like ND, they still have the illusions that they're a shot caller no matter where they go. They also believe that something that is good for another school means it HAS to be bad for Nebraska. They will fight against anything that's good for another school, without regard to whether it has any impact on them. That doesn't make for a good conference partner...which may be why the Big XII by all accounts is a lot more harmonious lately. There are exceptions to this, of course, but they're from people like this guy:

THAT dude is DEFINITELY from Missourah.
BTW: Huskerman, shouldn't you be trolling BIG message boards? The move was mutually beneficial, you got away from Texas, we got rid of you. We didn't ruin your party, don't ruin ours. And "I root for ISU as a secondary team" as a Nebraska fan is like saying I root for Jesus when he's not playing satan, far as I'm concerned.
