Little known fact, I'm a source for Chip. I'm "sore throat". I gave him the tip about Mount Mercy petitioning for inclusion in the SEC.

Me too. I'm known as " The 'X'sophagus" and I gave him the hot lead that should OU and Texas choose to leave the Big 12 they will likely be playing in a different conference next year.

So, from what I've seen from OU's quotes it seems that they may want to stay in the big12 IF Texas changes bevonet to a Big12 network (equal revenue sharing). Let's just say that hyopthetically that were to happen.

Would A&M would reconsider the SEC?
If so, would we add more teams, or stick with the current lineup?

I know this is still a huge longshot, but what do people on here think? Would this be a good thing?

Personally, I think even with revenue sharing we would need to add some more non-Texas schools to make this continue to exist. If the 10 current schools were to stay, would BYU and ND be candidates?

SEC wants Tech? Not buying that one. I don't think the other SEC members would either.
So if Mizzou did not take the catfish bait and WVU was considered a flunky by SEC while OU and UT play games, Florida and other schools have pinned their other state schools such as FSU off limts, who do they go for? The Pitt and Syracuse chess pieces were removed from the board. Maybe the ACC just spun the web around SEC after all. How many real choices does SEC have left? TT is moving up the list and is a state school with Tam. If TT goes SECeast, what does Larry "I Want them All" Scott think about that? If ND goes to ACC, the SEC may not be as big a dog as they thought.

What happens if the cubans decide that they want missles from Russia? Do you think the Russians will boat them in or fly them in?

I just heard on the DP show that West Virginia has been rejected by the ACC and SEC.

Multiple Big East sources said they have been told by WVU officials that WVU rejected by ACC & SEC
Good news for us.

I think the SEC is waiting to see if the B12 falls apart and will make their 14th pick then. So they can scoop up MU possibly. ACC maybe waiting on KU or UT.

Maybe. SEC is going to need a 14. Was better for us if it came out of the Big East than from the big 12. Does the SEC reject WVU (as opposed to saying 'hold up a bit') if they dont have someone else locked in?

True. Twitter already blowing up with rumors that this must mean that Mizzou is heading to the SEC. Never seen a bucket with so many simultaneous holes hold water for this long!!

I actually think McMurphyCBS is a pretty credible source, he has been right quite a bit...he is also the one who confirmed ISU,KSU,KU and Mizzou going to the Big East last year

Yeah, I would say that this means either:

1. The SEC has Mizzou or FSU locked in as #14.
or
2. ATM is backing out and staying in the Big 12.

Neither of these scenerios are bad for ISU.

Comments like this do not instill me with a lot of confidence.

“Athletic Director Jamie Pollard and I are working diligently to make sure Iowa State is positioned as well as possible when the dust settles,â€￾ Geoffroy said during a break in the state Board of Regents meeting today in West Des Moines.

I think this just shows how weak of a position we are in. "As well as possible" sounds quite underwhelming. Could well have said, "trying to find the least bad situation for Iowa State."

Doesn't really tell us much. What else could GG say, really? If he is working behind the scenes with the B1G or other B12 schools it is probably under condition of anonymity.

I hope that they are working hard behind the scenes, but I don't think that there is much they can do about anything at this point. All power seems to rest in OU and UT, with UT losing some of it's power.
