Joe Pa gave some quotes that makes this less crazy.HAHA! Holy ****, this thing has reached a level of stupidity beyond my comprehension. I wish we had enough clout as a school to just start yapping off outlandish claims.
Although, I'd love to see Penn St. go to the ACC.

True, oh so true. Althoguh, I wasn't really his direct quote, or even who said it as much as there is a kink in the mighty B1G's armor.

Can't live with them and can't live without them.It takes too much pucker power to keep them happy.TAMU to the SEC makes plenty of sense if you finally admit that Texas is a cancer to every conference they've been in. I dont see how its so hard for people to see that by the time you get to the 5th or 6th school wanting to get away from them, it just might be their fault instead of all of the departing teams' fault. And the PAC didnt take them for precisely this reason.
Not sure what that has to do with us....I don't think anyone expected full cost of attendance...
relevant since Boise/Air Force etc have been mentioned in B12 talks
Looks like MWC/CUSA going forward with merger talks.. would occur in 2013
Conference USA and Mountain West Conference athletic directors met this week in Dallas to discuss a potential alliance between the two leagues to earn an automatic Bowl Championship Series bid.
The two conferences released the following joint statement about the talks Wednesday afternoon:
“Athletics directors and administrators at Conference USA and the Mountain West Conference enjoyed a productive exchange of ideas this week. In today’s dynamic intercollegiate athletics environment, we feel it is important to be proactive and creative. Our intention is to move forward together with this discussion and analysis at a focused pace.â€
Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky said in an exclusive wide-ranging interview with the Orlando Sentinel last week the leagues had been speaking for more than a year about potential collaboration. The proposals have evolved to address concerns about developing a seamless partnership that would be good for all members.
Banowsky suggested the leagues would have to add two schools, increasing to a balanced lineup 24 football-playing members. He said the game format had not been set, but there would be the potential for some traditional conference games with the option of a few games between current Conference USA and Mountain West Conference members.
“It’s an idea that’s been being discussed for well over a year now. and I think it’s a good idea,†Banowsky said. “It involves us putting together all of the football assets from both conferences into one new football conference that would span five time zones and involve 24 teams.
“And we will try and utilize that platform to increase the visibility of our programs, drive more market interest in all of the programs and pursue better postseason opportunities.â€
With so many details to work out, Banowsky told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser the partnership wouldn’t go into effect until 2013.

The BCS is managed by the commissioners of the 11 NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision conferences and the director of athletics at the University of Notre Dame. The conferences are Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Conference USA, Mid-American, Mountain West, Sun Belt, Pacific 10, Southeastern and Western Athletic.
The conference commissioners and the Notre Dame athletics director make decisions regarding all BCS issues, in consultation with an athletics directors advisory group and subject to the approval of a presidential oversight committee whose members represent all 120 Football Bowl Subdivision programs.
