Wow I am glad to hear this kid is visiting would be nice to land a down low threat like this. I just do not understand how some of you can say that Ejim would come off the bench!! Ejim is a big part of what we have become along with everyone else on this team. Lets say this kid does commit (most likely not going to happen, but hope it does.) He has to earn his spot just like everyone else so to say who would start and who would not is not right since the kid is not even on campus yet.

Watch NBA warmups. They hit shot after shot after shot after shot. Even the ones who "can't shoot".

Maybe Royce does the same in warmups, I haven't watched. As as of today he is zero thread outside of 10' and those long mothers would eat his lunch. He has trouble with long guys inside in college but his perimeter ball skills make up for it at this level.

Yeah I guess I'm not sure either. Maybe he can hit all those shots. It's logical that we would have seen more of a pull up jumper from him if he hits them consistently. I would think Fred would integrate that part of his game more if it was there. My perception is that he lacks confidence at the mid-range much like his free throws so he passes on those types of shots. That said, when no one can stop you with the ball why settle for an outside shot when we have so many guys that can hit them. I don't know though. Selfishly, I'm going with he needs another year to improve his shooting! You're right. All NBA players can shoot. There are exceptions but those Metta World Peace type guys do everything else at such a high level. Maybe NBA types look past his shooting given his ball handling and passing.

After watching Henriquez only get one goaltending called him in Manhatten Saturday I have been thinking that ISU really needs a shot blocker. The officials really seem to be giving the defender the benefit of the doubt on the goal tending call.

I suppose in a pinch this guy could fit the bill. But only if he brings cookies.

It's not bad to say that some of us want Railey and/or Sledge gone. Railey may have gotten worse since his freshmen year and I think Sledge already has plans on leaving anyways.

It's Freds job to run people out if they are not going to contribute and win games. I want big 12 championships and final fours and to be able to compete with the best year in and year out. Railey isnt going to cut it but Pelle will.

I thank Railey and if speculations on Sledge leaving as well for giving their time to Iowa STate. I just think that some of you need to realize that in order to win these are the players we need to do so!

I disagree. I am a fan of every player until they decide to leave the program (and often, after). They chose my favorite school, and the decisions to be made are between the coaches and the players themselves. I fail to see any upside whatsoever to the speculation and/or wishes of fans in this regard.

I know the kid has hops and would be awesome for us, but I just do not want to throw any of our players under the bus on pure speculation.

Realistically there have been several posters who have been more than willing to throw players under the bus without even a rumor of someone in the wings to take their scholly.

It's sad, but this isn't anything new.

Hopefully anyone who leaves does so because they want to for playing time purposes, not because Fred had to show them the door.

They are most likely the same people that were sure Scotty would be coming off the bench this year.

I get uncomfortable when people speculate who might be unhappy or leaving. It just doesn't sit well with me either.

But fans will be fans. The NEXT recruit is always better than the players you have NOW.

Of course the high rating of this guy drives the speculation to ridiculousness in this case.

I don't know if UCONN can take on another player with potential academic problems.

Isn't UConn going to be banned from post season play next year?
If he's really THAT GOOD wouldn't he want to play in the NCAA tourney?

its not just throwing them under the bus, its identifying players who have talent (or they wouldn't be here), but may be burried on the depth chart and have the chance to be a starter at another school. If i were in their shoes, i would probably would rather transfer and be a starter versus sitting the bench for 4 years and maybe getting some mop up duty at the end of some non-conference games.
