I don't think there's a small chance for pelle, there still recruiting him.

It's not a small chance of making him want to commit here but there is still major risk given the questions about his academics. As of right now we don't even know if he will qualify for next year. Fred should take the first 2 that say they want in.

Miscommunication my friend.

I think that you are mistaken, Erik. Whether he sits out this year or plays a year at JUCO, he'll still have three years of eligibility left. He was a '11 recruit, right?

Yes, he was a 2011 recruit. He doesn't lose a year of playing eligibility by spending next season at MCC (or some other nearby JUCO) and then transferring to ISU. He does lose a year of playing eligibility by sitting out at ISU or any other 4 yr school next season.

I think you're right here.. He was an 2011 recruit, RS his freshman year at Wisconsin, which means he still has 4 years of eligibility left. If he comes here he will have to sit 1 year which means he would have only 3 years of eligibility to play. I haven't seen many players go to a smaller school for a year and then back to a D1 school just to get around the rule of having to sit so I don't know if this is right.

I know that if you're at a DII or lower school and go to a D1 you don't have to sit a year, but I don't know if that applies if you go D1 to DII(or smaller), and then back to D1..

Best case scenario is one of the two elect to go elsewhere and Pelle makes grades. Locket is best for next year but Uthoff is best longterm. But on the same side, we are serious condensers next year with Lockett and Pelle which is great for recruiting and the team long term.

I already said my order but I am going to say it again because I don't understand how people want us to pass on Pelle. My order goes:
1. Pelle (it is not even close for me)
2. Lockett
3. Uthoff

next year we'll have Babb, McGee and Clyburn at the wings plus 2 freshmen in need of seasoning that will be thrown into the fire the following year. I just don't see Lockett as that much of an upgrade. Where Pelle fills a huge need this fall and Utoff could be a big piece of the puzzle the following year.

These are my thoughts as well.

Get Uthoff Now. Long term will fit nicely with Niangs Game. Then wait on Pelle. If he doesn't clear keep Bubu on scholarship.

Why does everyone assume Pelle is ready to play from Day 1?? I know Lockett is, thus he is my number 1.

Uthoff with 3yrs, good student, smart player, Iowa native....he's my #2 simply because he can't play this year.

Pelle has too many questions and I'm not sure his game is even ready. I'd take him in a heartbeat if the other two didn't workout, but he is an unknown. He reminds me a bit of the kid we signed late the year Hoiberg came in that Mcdermott recruited first from Maryland or someplace. He transferred after last year. He looked damn impressive in his videos too and was no where near ready for big time ball.

Edit: McKnight is the guy

The rankings and evals Pelle has are miles better than Eric McKnight's reviews. That's not any sort of comparison at all.
